The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Jill (Jess Walton) and Colin (Tristan Rogers) will be off canvas for a while, but it looks like it won’t be as long as expected. When Rogers tweeted that there were “no plans for this couple to reappear,” many Y&R fans were surprised by the abrupt sendoff. As the messages poured in, Walton felt like she should set the record straight.
“Jill isn’t going anywhere,” Walton tweeted. “Just taking some time off & awaiting the birth of my 3rd grandchild. Love #YR and all of you!” In case you were worried about Colin’s inclusion, Walton cleared that up as well. She sent another tweet saying that The Young and the Restless viewers should watch out for Jill and Colin in June.
Obviously, this was news to Rogers. Someone must’ve forgotten to give him the memo! Rogers sent out a follow-up tweet to share his previous confusion. “So it appears I have taken too literally the story’s end. There are plans for a return to GC.” Rogers finished off by repeating Walton’s heads-up about their June comeback.
It’s nice to hear that Colin and Jill aren’t going to disappear completely. Since we know they’ll be returning in a couple months, we can just enjoy seeing other characters featured for a while. This break could be a good thing. Jill and Colin’s drama wrapped up, so it makes sense to send them off screen to bond.
Meanwhile, we can watch things heat up for other feuding lovers. Devon (Bryton James) and Hilary’s (Mishael Morgan) battle will likely continue. Their love-hate relationship is incredibly complicated. Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) and Kevin’s (Greg Rikaart) romance is headed for some tricky times, too.
Even Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) should face some difficulties down the road. The one couple that might be moving toward happiness is probably Billy (Jason Thompson) and Victoria (Amelia Heinle). There may be a few more hurdles along the way, but the “Villy” reunion is still growing closer.
It sounds like some hot storylines are coming up. CDL is glad Jill and Colin will return this June – Jess Walton and Tristan Rogers are full of charisma and talent – Y&R fans always enjoy them.
