The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Scott Helps Victor Write Autobiography - Digs Up Shocking Dirt On The Moustache and Dylan?

The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Victor (Eric Braeden) will ask Scott (Daniel Hall) to help him write his autobiography. Lauren’s (Tracey Bregman) request for The Moustache’s assistance resulted in her son’s safe return from a war-torn region of the world that all Genoa City residents (and their viewers) have been forced to become familiar with. Victor plans to take Scott’s mother up on her offer of repayment by asking the passionate writer to lend his expertise to a deeply meaningful project.

The release of Braeden’s autobiography ‘I’ll Be Damned’ now dovetails with his character’s choice to document his life and times in words. The choice to do so is a nice way for art to shake hands with life on Y&R. The coming storyline will also allow for analog video vaults to be accessed, as surely many well-worn and obscure Victor moments will be shown as this book is written. The problem is that Scott is used to serious and dangerous research – will Victor learn too late that his ghostwriter has uncovered some damning evidence from the past – maybe a stray child (from Dr. Meredith Gates) or major crime that The Moustache has kept hidden until now?

Hall’s addition to the cast meant that Scott’s talk of leaving Wisconsin was never going to happen. Fleshing out Lauren’s backstory by time-advancing Scott to his early 30’s also impacts other characters. By creating an arc for Hall to work in, The Young and the Restless spoilers tell us that Scott will almost certainly develop a love life. An easy conclusion would tag Phyllis’ (Gina Tognoni) baby-sitting visit as the genesis of a relationship. If Phott (Syllis?) proves true viewers will know why Philly was written out.

Victor opting to work with a seasoned writer likely means that he’ll attempt to portray the past with clarity. Nikki recently found her husband re-reading a copy of Ruthless, which was the unauthorized biography written by Leanna Love (Barbara Crampton) about Victor’s life years ago. Mrs. Newman then heard him surprisingly admit that there was truth in its pages and noted herself that a follow-up book about him was also penned.

Y&R is smartly writing Victor away from tired territory, where he was persistently agitated and vindictive. One wondered if the man simply needed proper medication and regular visits with a psychiatrist? Nevertheless, Y&R spoilers warn that Scott might uncover more than Victor bargained for during his research into his past. In fact digging around Genoa City’s dark underbelly could potentially expose Dylan’s (Steve Burton) witness protection program involvement – and with that discovery Sharon and her children become leverage and targets for the Florida mob that he took down.

Seriously though, Adam’s death deeply impacted Victor. Since September he’s been adjusting to life as it is, taking his hands off many controls and moving into semi-retirement. This version of Braeden’s character fits the place in time where the actor has seemed to find himself. So Scott will help the man create a tome that will definitively state who the real Victor Newman was and is as of 2017. CDL is a leading source for everything linked to The Young and the Restless.
