General Hospital spoilers hint that Drew’s (Billy Miller) own memories are not erased, but suppressed, and possibly on the verge of coming to the surface. Even back nearly two years ago, in the episode of July 28, 2016, Drew, then believed to be Jason (Steve Burton) with plastic surgery, displayed a skill Jason had never learned – piloting a plane!
Ever since Dr. Kim Nero (Tamara Braun) came to town and Drew learned she was a past love and that he even fathered a son with her (Oscar, played by Garren Stitt) bits and pieces of those repressed memories have seemed to be very close to the surface, indeed. But it seems like the type of memories that have been closest to the surface are those when he was still a tiny tot, being raised as brothers with his then best buddy, Bobby, now known as Robert Frank, or Franco (Roger Howarth).
There have been several times over the last several months when Drew seemed to have a glimmer of recognition of his long ago childhood friendship, although his memories didn’t quite surface. Franco, on the other hand, has been actively remembering many things, although not always in their totality, but after interrogating his adoptive mother Betsy Frank (Deborah Strang) until he got the truth out of her, he has just about figured everything out.
One memory in particular has haunted Franco, triggered by Betsy’s story of Franco as a small child pushing little Drew down the stairs. He has even believed himself to be a devil child, capable of attempted murder at as young as age three! On the GH episode, Thursday, March 1, 2018, a crossroads between the two former buddies appeared to have taken place when Franco encountered Drew in a stairwell below him and remembered the evil Jim Harvey (Greg Evigan) to have been involved in little “Andy’s” tumble down the basement stairs so long ago.
Franco nearly collapsed in tears at the memory and Drew showed compassion to this man he previously thought of as an enemy, attempting to comfort Franco and showing concern for his well-being.
General Hospital spoilers seem to be heading toward revealing a reunification of these two tiny boys living inside their grown-up mens’ bodies. Will Franco and Drew team up and go after their common enemy and likely former abuser Jim Harvey? Will best friends who became enemies develop a restored relationship and become like brothers?
