General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Drew (Billy Miller) has more heartache in his future. It was tough for him to walk away from Sam (Kelly Monaco), but he knew she needed space to figure things out. Sam still doesn’t have all the answers, but she knows ending their marriage is for the best. Their divorce will set them free, but that doesn’t mean this is the end of the road for “Dream.”
With soaps, it’s all about patience. If you wait long enough for a pairing, it tends to come back around. Based on the scenes we’ve been seeing lately, it’s clear Sam is inching toward a reunion with Jason (Steve Burton). General Hospital spoilers point in that direction as well. That’s great news for “JaSam” lovers, but it doesn’t mean those rooting for Drew and Sam should give up hope.
Finding out he was Drew and not Jason was a real game-changer. The shocker obviously rocked Drew to the core. It understandably affected his relationship with Sam, who also had to deal with the real Jason reentering the picture. There was no way “Dream” could just carry on as usual. No one should be surprised by this divorce.
Some time apart could actually be good for both Drew and Sam. It’ll give them a chance to explore new paths as well as old ones. Drew needs to get his memories back and learn who he really is. As for Sam, she has to see if she still fits with Jason. They’ll most likely rekindle their spark, but they have to find out if this can work long-term.
Jason’s always going to be mixed up in Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Carly’s (Laura Wright) mayhem. If that leads to danger for Jason’s family, it could certainly spark a wakeup call for Sam. The same old issues are in play, so there’ll be obstacles to tackle.
However, it’s easy to see the love in Jason and Sam’s eyes right now. Watching Sam move on could be brutal for Drew. Once “JaSam’s” officially back on, it may hit Drew harder than he ever anticipated. He may drift toward Kim (Tamara Braun) for a while, but their lack of chemistry could hurt their changes as a real pairing. GH may not stick with Kim and Drew indefinitely.
Instead, they’ll probably leave the door open for Drew’s reconnection with Sam. The wheel of soap couples could keep spinning and land back on “Dream” sooner or later. Kelly Monaco and Billy Miller enjoy working together, so they may be hoping their pairing rises to the top again.
