General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that some hot soap news has fans buzzing. A Soap Opera Digest blind item has been floating around and it points to a grim fate one character. Of course, this blind item could be about any of the four main soaps. It’s too early to say it’s GH, but we have to consider the possibility.
After all, there are some new General Hospital characters in the works. Since the cast is already so huge, the show may want to ditch at least one person. They can’t just keep adding and adding without taking anyone out of the picture. The blind item reveals that a show wants to kill off a character who hasn’t clicked with viewers. That sounds like it’d be a great option for GH.
If so, which General Hospital character might be a goner? A couple of options immediately come to mind. Nelle (Chloe Lanier) is one possibility to consider, but she’s got a few things working in her favor. She was loathed early on, but some fans have warmed up to Nelle thanks to her Carly (Laura Wright) plot. Is it cruel? Absolutely, but hypocritical Carly deserves to be taken down a peg.
GH doesn’t have a ton of characters in Nelle’s age range, so that’s another advantage. Chloe Lanier’s Daytime Emmy win won’t hurt her chances of sticking around either. If Nelle indeed stays, who else could be on the chopping block? Peter (Wes Ramsey) might be a good fit for a deadly exit.
Many viewers seem annoyed with Peter being front and center. Let’s look at a few Twitter comments, shall we? One fan called him “Peter, Peter screen time eater.” Another suggested renaming the show “Peter Hospital” or “General Peter.” There are plenty of other tweets along the lines of “WAY too much Peter” and “Peter is pure garbage.” It’s clear that many GH watchers are fed up.
Now that this blind item’s out there, several Twitter users have expressed hope that Peter’s a dead man. It’s only fair since he summoned Faison (Anders Hove) and played a role in Nathan’s (Ryan Paevey) demise. The wrong brother got shot! Perhaps it’s time to pump a bullet in the remaining Faison heir.
