General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that some tough times are ahead for Maxie (Kirsten Storms). Her worst fears are coming true. Nathan’s (Ryan Paevey) in dire condition at GH and hope is fading fast. Maxie will soon have to bid farewell to her husband, so she’ll be left to raise her baby alone – at least for now.
GH fans can expect Maxie to be torn apart by the loss. She knew it would spell trouble when Nathan started digging for answers. Once Nathan found out he was Faison’s (Anders Hove) son, Maxie’s worries intensified. She even had a terrible nightmare about Faison coming after their baby.
Maxie dreamed that Nathan rushed to defend their little one. She heard a gunshot and quickly woke up. There are some interesting parallels to draw from this nightmare. It seemed to be a premonition of what’s been playing out and what might still be to come.
Nathan was shot protecting Maxie and their child, so that ties in with the shooting in the dream. However, Maxie awakened before finding out Nathan’s true fate. She was in the dark about what really happened to her husband. Maxie could only assume that Nathan had been shot and killed.
That could easily connect to actual storyline. General Hospital spoilers say Port Charles will believe Nathan’s dead. His loved ones will hold a weepy funeral and struggle to move on. Maxie will grieve for Nathan and prepare for a future without him, but perhaps she won’t have all the facts.
Since the outcome Nathan faced was unknown in the dream, that could symbolize how Maxie will be out of the loop. Maybe GH viewers will be the only ones who discover this big secret. General Hospital needs a way to appease the fans who are outraged, heartbroken or both. Revealing some death trickery would be an excellent route to take.
On a soap, it’s easy to inject something to fake someone’s demise or even come along with back-from-the-dead serum afterward. Swapping or stealing bodies is another common practice. After the funeral, we could see the final phase of an evil plot.
It’s possible that Faison will escape from GH and kidnap Nathan, but we can’t rule out other options either. There are plenty of baddies and suspicious characters on General Hospital. Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) and Peter (Wes Ramsey) have major ties to Faison’s storyline. Kim (Tamara Braun) has an agenda that’s yet to be revealed, too.
There could even be another villain just waiting to swoop in and make Nathan vanish. Faison has many enemies who might target him through his son. The show would be wise to create a flexible exit. If Paevey ever wants to reprise his role or GH decides to bring in a new actor, they can simply expose the death deception and let Nathan come home.
