General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that a battle is brewing. Now that corrupt Mayor Lomax (Shari Belafonte) is out, PC residents need someone to take over and lead the city in a positive direction. They can’t risk letting one of Lomax’s cronies get in there and repeat history.
Kevin (Jon Lindstrom) suggested that Laura (Genie Francis) would make a great candidate and he’s certainly right about that. Laura is passionate, strong and ready to change the world – or at least Port Charles. She’ll undoubtedly get started on her campaign pretty soon.
Laura will assemble a team and give this goal her best shot. The people of PC are counting on someone like Laura to step up. Of course, Laura will end up facing an equally determined opponent. This election will bring two solid choices for voters. It looks like Ned (Wally Kurth) will decide to give Laura some healthy competition.
General Hospital spoilers say Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) will push Ned to take on a challenge in his life. Since Michael (Chad Duell) doesn’t seem to be budging from the CEO spot, Olivia may think Ned can find power elsewhere. She’ll be instrumental in pushing Ned down the mayoral election path.
GH fans can expect some conflict to come out of all this. Ned and Laura’s cordial contest could turn into quite a war! Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) and Lulu (Emme Rylan) should find themselves rooting for opposite sides. Ned will likely be Dante’s candidate of choice, but Lulu will be behind Laura 100 percent.
Others will have to make tricky decisions as well. That’s what happens when two beloved legacy characters run against each other. This should be a fun storyline for General Hospital viewers. No matter who wins, Port Charles will definitely get a mayor that’s worthy of being in office. Goodbye and good riddance to Mayor Lomax! An honest and trustworthy mayor is coming to town.
