General Hospital Spoilers: Ryan Paevey’s Rushed Exit Storyline Confirmed – Nathan Leaves GH

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that the buzz about Ryan Paevey’s (Nathan) departure is heating up. On Daytime Confidential’s latest podcast, Jamey Giddens offered some crucial hints about Nathan’s story and exit. Unfortunately, it’s not good news!

When talking about Nathan’s paternity retcon and rushed plot, Giddens suggested it was a frantic attempt to write the character out. “Look, it’s been out there on the Twitterverse,” Giddens said. “I don’t know who broke it, but I ain’t stealing your credit…it has been out there that Ryan Paevey is – spoiler alert – leaving the show.”

Giddens is a well-known soap insider when it comes to this type of thing and it’s not easy to recall an instance when he was wrong about major news. If he voices support for what’s out there, it’s pretty much always because he has inside knowledge of the situation. The use of the term “spoiler alert” also seems to serve as confirmation here.

Giddens went on to say that it felt like GH writers asked themselves, “OK, we gotta get him off the canvas, so what can we do?” He indicated that the Faison drama appeared to be a hasty way out. That certainly lines up with the rapid pace of the story and how everything’s played out so far.

This is a tough blow for General Hospital fans who might’ve been celebrating a few days ago. Some viewers were probably relieved when Kirsten Storms (Maxie) finally posted a pic of Paevey on set. She joked about Paevey eating a cookie in the Instagram caption.

Alas, the party was premature. General Hospital may have encouraged the picture posting to calm the fan freak-outs, but that doesn’t mean Paevey will be on set for long. Based on Giddens’ comments and the way Nathan’s storyline is progressing, it looks like we should prepare for a difficult goodbye.

General Hospital spoilers state that Nathan will face extreme danger down the road. Will Nathan be killed off? Could he go into hiding alone to protect Maxie and the baby – will he be captured by Faison? These all seem like plausible options, but GH has been highlighting the risk of death lately. That could be a clue that Nathan’s a goner!

What do you think about these gloomy developments? We’ll give you updates as other GH details emerge. Stay tuned to the ABC soap and don’t forget to check CDL often for the latest General Hospital spoilers, updates and news.
