Meghan Markle’s Sister Samantha Grant Insists Charity Work Is All For Show

Meghan Markle’s sister Samantha Grant thinks that the actress’ charity work is all for show. As a matter of fact, Samantha took a public swipe at Meghan by suggesting that the former Hollywood actress is only pretending to be a humanitarian in front of the cameras.

During an interview with Australian television talk show A Current Affair, Samantha made it pretty clear that she feels many celebrities like her sister treat charity work as a good photo opportunity.

She said: “I’ve seen in my lifetime a lot of situations where celebrities visit a place which is poverty stricken and they’re wearing impeccable clothing, they themselves are wealthy. And it really feels like just a photo opportunity, so that is a little exploitative in my mind.”

Of course, this isn’t the first swipe Samantha has made at Meghan. Just last month, she said that if Meghan can spend $75,000 on the dress she wore for her engagement photos with Prince Harry, than certainly she can spend that kind of money on her father, too.

At this point, no one really knows what is on Samantha Grant’s agenda. One moment she says that she’s only talking about Meghan Markle in the press because she wants the public to get to know who she really is. The next moment she’s making sly remarks and giving her sister backhanded compliments. Either way, it doesn’t look like Samantha will make it onto Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s invite list for their upcoming wedding. Even royal observers know that Samantha isn’t doing herself any favors by constantly talking to the press about her estranged sister while trying to profit on her family’s new connection to the royal family at the same time.

If there’s one thing that Meghan wants her sister to do, it’s to stop talking to the press. So far Meghan herself has not made any comments about her estranged family. She also hasn’t said if she plans on inviting them to her royal wedding at Windsor Castle in May. At this point, the only person who might be by her side is her mother, Doria Ragland, and her father, Thomas Markle, Sr. The rest of the Markles will have to watch her wedding on television, when it will most likely air on May 19th.
