The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Marla Adams Wins Again - Dina Kills Graham

The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Dina (Marla Adams) will turn the tables on Graham (Max Shippee) by foiling his attempts to seemingly kill her and in fact kill him. Madame Mergeron may be affected by Alzheimer’s disease, but she also remains a fierce fighter who wants to live.

Adams has been touted by many audience members and by this scribe as the greatest feel-good acting story on Y&R and arguably, in daytime, in many years. Her return to the cast last year was intriguing, as the character she first played in the mid-1980’s was short-lived. Adams’ subsequent, sporadic appearances thereafter also weren’t part of main storylines.

The Dina character was written into the show during the period of time when the Abbott family’s back story was enhanced. John (Jerry Douglas) was said to have been devastated by his wife’s betrayal; Dina having had affairs with various men, then abandoning her husband and three young children in the 1960’s, which was the decade before Y&R debuted on CBS.

Ashley (Eileen Davidson) was one of the referenced children. During Dina’s write-in to the story, Ashley learned that her biological father wasn’t John Abbott. A local tennis pro, Brent Davis (Bert Kramer), regrettably held that genetic title.

Hardcore viewers recall many dramatic scenes that presented said reveal, but also, apparently, didn’t clue John in. This plot point seemed to have been fully litigated when Adams reappeared in 2017, but such was not the case as a different fictional path was invented.

The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Marla Adams Wins Again - Dina Kills GrahamGraham Bloodworth was injected, pun applicable to this digital feature, into Genoa City as Dina’s companion. Instant suspicion on behalf of all savvy soap fans and other common sense souls has affirmed the shared belief that Shippee’s alter ego is diabolical.

If he were just a gold-digger, Dina could live with it. Rather, Graham’s recent return from Florida has established what appears to be the climax to his arc, rather than Dina’s.

The revamped Jabot laboratory was ransacked by a masked man, yes Bloodworth, who stole chemicals. Graham has since conned Ashley into putting her fingerprints on the syringe he intends to use to assault his wife. Yes, he’s played the nuptial angle as well.

However, in keeping with the modern incarnation of Dina, Adams will embody a person who isn’t about to be snuffed out. No, she’ll turn the tables on her non-champion in what is sure to be a compelling write-out, for Graham.
