The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Eric Braeden Announces Christmas Eve News - Victor's Return Saves Nikki

The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) will feel compelled to self-medicate. A fiendish manipulator who’s learned the truth about J.T. (Thad Luckinbill) will force his accidental killer to take to the bottle. Nikki’s fall off the wagon leads to a dramatic daytime event and then creates Victor’s (Eric Braeden) return by Christmas week according to Eric Braeden’s recent announcement.

Preceding the above, an advance The Young and the Restless video clip shows Nikki pulling out a flask and downing something that’s presumably quite stronger than the remnants of a Crimson Lights latte. It’s too bad that Katherine (played by the late, great Jeanne Cooper) still isn’t gracing this fictional Wisconsin setting. She would definitely not allow her protege and unofficially adopted daughter, sorry Jill (Jess Walton), to be defeated by liquid poison.

Later, Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) conducts a sit-down at the Genoa City Police Department with Nikki. Her request for a lawyer, seemingly calling for Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc), confirms the seriousness of the detective’s intentions.

A recent social media photo of an advanced scene still shows Scott and Braeden in good health. However, Nikki isn’t doing so well. Her hospitalization apparently results due to injuries she suffers after walking in front of a car following an attempt to soothe her nerves.

Coverup crew supporters (or detractors) know that Mrs. Newman and her three cohorts were recently put under intense scrutiny by Detective Rosales. Rey’s presentation of J.T.’s supposedly bloodied shirt actually gave Nikki and Vickie (Amelia Heinle) information. They, along with the audience, know that Luckinbill’s character didn’t die through some type of blood-related trauma. Nikki’s head conk caused no known external bleeding.

That blunt force is believed to have prematurely ended Mr. Hellstrom’s life, after which he was unceremoniously rolled in a carpet, driven to Chancellor Park and then dumped in a quickly dug rectangular grave. So whoever somehow gained access to J.T.’s blood then applied it to an off-the-rack, white button down dress shirt did so in order to create an apparent frame, while also playing a head game with at least Nikki, if not the entire four-lady team.

Following this week’s events, Nikki lands in the hospital. Victor, who is currently inaccessible and thought to be missing, will learn of his true love’s predicament and arrive in GC Christmas Eve, December 24, just prior to the Y&R Christmas day episode break.

Fans of Niktor and all Y&R loyalists are hopeful that the Moustache’s return, combined with other coming cast revivals, will combine to create a digestible end to this storyline by New Year’s Eve – of course given the seemingly endless J.T. saga it could be Valentine’s Day before fans get closure!
