Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) will make some shocking moves as Salem’s new mayor. His election victory will lead to a baffling decision, which will follow Hope Hernandez’s (Kristian Alfonso) firing. Since Hope will be out as police commissioner, the Salem PD’s going to need a new one.
The problem is Jack will pick someone completely unqualified for the job. Despite any backlash he might receive, Jack will feel confident in his choice. He’ll stand by his decision to put someone without a law enforcement background in the role. Days of Our Lives spoilers say Jack will appoint none other than his own wife, Eve Donovan (Kassie DePaiva).
Since Eve’s always talking Jack into things, perhaps she’ll plant the idea in his head. Eve has a knack for suggesting something and making Jack believe it’s the greatest plan in the world. Some Days fans might wonder why Eve would even want this position. Shouldn’t she be schmoozing as the mayor’s wife and checking out the socialite scene?
However, there’s a good reason why Eve will want the police commissioner gig. That reason is Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson). Eve loathes Ben for murdering her beloved daughter, Paige Larson (True O’Brien). Ben is free to roam the streets while Paige is six feet under, and that just doesn’t work for Eve.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Eve will pick up Hope’s old fight. Hope was determined to take Ben down for the cabin fire. Of course, Eve will have a sneaky advantage. Her vengeful rage will mean she’s willing to ditch the rulebooks and do whatever she wants. Laws won’t really concern her, so Eve will plan to destroy Ben by any means necessary.
DOOL viewers can expect some tight spots for Ben thanks to Eve’s vendetta. Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal) will continue to have faith in her boyfriend, but Eve won’t make things easy for the duo. Days spoilers say Ben will be hot on Claire Brady’s (Olivia Rose Keegan) trail soon. He may find himself in a race against time.
Can Ben prove Claire started the fire before Eve locks him up? Will Eve throw out the evidence and pin it on Ben anyway?
