Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that one NBC soap star has an intriguing project in the works. Days fans love Robert Scott Wilson as Ben Weston, the reformed serial killer with a heart of gold. However, he’s also got an exciting side gig. Wilson scored the role of Dave in Ecstasy Outlaws, a new short film that’s set in the 1980s and is based on true events.
Brian Burkhardt penned the script for this fascinating flick and is directing the project as well. Of course, Wilson isn’t the only cast member involved. He’s joined by several other great actors including Andres Mejia Vallejo, Jessica Meza, Logan Martin and Hector David Jr.
According to the Ecstasy Outlaws Instagram account, “Business Is Business” is the tagline for the film. The description adds, “HOW THE PARTY STARTED FOR AMERICA’S DESIGNER DRUG.” Burkhardt and the cast have shared some fantastic pics to document their journey. It looks like this movie has been a real labor of love, so they’re all excited about putting it out in the world soon.
A recent Instagram video featured Wilson and some of the others jamming out to the score. They indicated they were working on some awesome postproduction details that’ll really make the film come alive. It’s clear that Wilson and the gang are thrilled to be part of Ecstasy Outlaws, so they’re hoping for some fan support.
Days of Our Lives viewers are glad to see Wilson taking on some acting challenges. Wilson isn’t going anywhere as fan favorite Ben, but DOOL watchers may want to check him out in this film as well. Not much is known about the role of Dave, but you can bet Wilson will deliver an excellent performance as usual. He always earns plenty of praise whenever he’s onscreen.
As for what’s next in Salem, Days of Our Lives spoilers say Ben will follow some interesting clues. He’ll do whatever he can to prove Claire Brady’s (Olivia Rose Keegan) the fire-starter, but he’ll have to hurry. That’s because Salem’s new police commissioner, Eve Donovan (Kassie DePaiva), will be just as determined to pin the crime on Ben!
