Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that we’re in for a week full of weddings, heartbreak, mayhem, and one terrible tragedy. The DOOL weekly promo for the week of November 4th promises a lot, and we’ll get into that shortly. But we should also point out that this will be the week of the historic DOOL time jump, which will occur on Friday, November 8th.
The promo is all about the events leading up to the time jump, but it doesn’t address the time jump itself. Still, we’ve got some details about the time jump and how it will all come about, and how it ties into the goings-on addressed in the new DOOL promo.
At any rate, the promo starts by showing a happy Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) and Jennifer Horton (Melissa Reeves) telling JJ Deveraux (Casey Moss) and Haley Chen (Thia Megia) that they are getting married. That’s bound to thrill JJ, who will be glad to have his dad back and his parents together again. Jack and Jen will tie the knot in a double wedding ceremony with Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) and Adrienne Johnson (Judi Evans) later in the week.
It seems that the double wedding will go off without a hitch, although DOOL spoilers indicate that Eve Donovan (Kassie DePaiva) will try to stir up trouble for Jack and Jen. It doesn’t seem that she’ll succeed, though, and we should see some truly happy and touching moments as both couples say “I do” and make it through the ceremony with no major hiccups.
However, the same can’t be said for the wedding of Lani Price (Sal Stowers) and Eli Grant (Lamon Archey). As DOOL viewers know, Gabi DiMera (Camila Banus) is holding all the cards and is trying to force Lani to dump Eli at the altar, or else she’ll kill Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) with the push of a button on her phone. Lani’s got control of the pacemaker that’s implanted in Julie’s heart, and she can blow up Julie’s heart if Lani doesn’t comply.
The DOOL promo shows things really getting out of hand at Eli and Lani’s wedding, as Lani races from the altar over to Gabi and tackles her to the ground in a huge brawl as Eli screams out in horror. However, this is most likely a dream sequence indicating what Lani would actually like to do to Gabi, since DOOL spoilers clearly indicate that Lani will dump Eli at the altar and have a physical altercation with Gabi at a later date.
Still, this dream sequence is what many fans would like to see actually happen to Gabi and is fun to watch. But in reality, Eli will get dumped at the altar, and later Lani will actually tell him that she doesn’t love him, so he’ll be heartbroken for sure. There will be some sad moments for all the “Elani” fans out there.
The scariest part of the promo, however, isn’t Lani and Gabi’s dream-sequence brawl. It looks like there will be some absolutely terrifying moments for Jen and her loved ones after her wedding to Jack takes place. It appears that the reception will be at the bistro above town square, and that Jen will get there early, while Jack, JJ, and Haley are still down in town square.
Things will take a tragic turn when Jen finds herself alone on the balcony with Princess Gina (Kristian Alfonso). It seems that Jen will have figured out Dr. Wilhelm Rolf’s (William Utay) plot to turn Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso) into Princess Gina, and that Princess Gina will know this. Desperate to protect herself and Rolf’s secret, Princess Gina will push Jennifer off of the balcony, straight down into the town square below, and right in front of Jack, JJ, and Haley.
The promo shows Jen falling and viewers can hear her landing on the ground with a thud as a horrified Jack, JJ, and Haley all watch. According to DOOL spoilers, from there Jen will be rushed to the hospital where she’ll be in pretty bad shape. After surgery, she’ll be in a coma and Jack will be devastated. And by week’s end, Jack will have nothing to do but watch and wait for Jen to come out of her coma.
As CDL has previously reported, from here the DOOL time jump will take place. Jack will get some support from John Black (Drake Hogestyn), who has of course been through a similar situation when Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) was in a coma after being shot at their wedding. John will reveal that during Marlena’s coma, he turned an hourglass over as many times as he had to until Marlena woke up.
John and Marlena will lend the hourglass to Jack, who will turn it over for the first time as he sits by Jen’s side at the hospital. But it seems that once he turns the hourglass, something amazing will happen and a year will have gone by for DOOL viewers. That means that Jen’s coma is going to last a year in “real time” but for viewers that year will go by in an instant.
