General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Dustin Phillips (Mark Lawson) will continue to make his interest in Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) known. These two hit it off immediately and they’ve only grown closer since then. There’s a real spark between them, so it’s easy to see the potential for a long-lasting romance.
Of course, Lulu is still trying to heal at the moment. As she pointed out to Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms), the ink on Lulu’s divorce papers was barely dry! However, Lulu might’ve been a little hard on herself there. After all, Lulu’s been stuck in limbo for a long time. She’s single and free to move on, so it’s fine that she decided to hop in bed with Dustin.
Nevertheless, Lulu is on the rebound and will be wary of getting serious too quickly. That means Dustin will need other things to keep him busy. One of those things will obviously be his job at the local high school. GH fans know Mr. Phillips has already made quite an impression as the hot English teacher. He even gave Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) some good advice, which should affect her General Hospital story moving forward.
Joss will likely respond to Dustin’s essay criticism by digging deeper in her next one. She scored an A, but Dustin still thinks Josslyn can do better. Perhaps this will help Josslyn work through some of her lingering Oscar Nero Quartermaine (Garren Stitt) grief. Writing can be cathartic, so Joss might be able to explain how she’s feeling and truly move on.
Unfortunately, “Devin Corbin” aka Dev Cerci (Ashton Arbab) could present some red flags. Will Dustin catch Dev in a fib thanks to his personal essay? Dev is a skilled liar, but Dustin’s a smart guy. He could easily pick up on something that doesn’t seem right. Even Dev’s writing ability could be a clue if it doesn’t match up with Dev’s fake grades.
That could lead to Dustin digging into Dev’s background at Bridgeport. He may realize Dev never truly attended school in the area. It’d be interesting to throw Dustin into Sonny’s storyline, especially since this is already awkward for Lulu. She can’t help but feel like she’s betraying Dante Falconeri’s (Dominic Zamprogna) family somehow. It’s not something Lulu needs to feel guilty over, but it’s still uncomfortable.
Will Dustin make things more uncomfortable by learning the truth about Dev’s status in the country? Will a shocking discovery lead to trouble? Can Sonny convince Dustin to keep his mouth shut?
