General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Kim Nero (Tamara Braun) may be leaving Port Charles behind. CDL reported Daytime Confidential’s recent reveal that Tamara Braun’s finished filming, and there are no plans to recast at this point. If Kim’s indeed going, how will she be written out? There some important factors to consider as we prepare for what’s ahead.
For starters, Kim has never been a very necessary character. She’s just not someone who creates must-see episodes or really adds a lot of value to the show. Kim also doesn’t have any real ties left on canvas. Oscar Nero Quartermaine (Garren Stitt) is dead, and Drew Cain (Billy Miller) has been presumed dead, too. Is there really any reason to leave the door open for Kim’s return?
Killing Kim off is a possibility based on all that, but the news that there are no plans to replace her implies that maybe Kim exits alive. It’s just an interesting thing to specify. Even so, letting Kim just leave town seems like a waste. Kim hasn’t provided much drama during her stint in Port Charles, so her exit should at least pack a punch. Let’s hope GH will go with something more dramatic than Kim heading for Manhattan.
General Hospital spoilers reveal that Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) will get back to his old self sooner or later. Franco promised Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) he’d return to her, and that’s a promise he’ll keep. Since Kim has been through so much and doesn’t cope with setbacks very well, General Hospital has a golden opportunity here. They could really let Kim go off the deep end.
It’s a shame that GH hasn’t properly utilized Braun, so here’s their chance to let do something big and bold. Could Kim officially lose it and wind up in Ferncliff? There are several ways that could happen. Kim might become so obsessed with “Drew” that she kidnaps him, even after he becomes Franco again. She could also become unhinged and perhaps pull a gun on Liz for revenge.
It’s worth mentioning that Kim and Liz’s rivalry is heating up. After Franco’s upcoming hearing, the tension could be at an all time high. Once Kim ultimately loses Franco to Liz, it’s easy to imagine a mental break occurring. GH has the prime character for a crazy exit. They might as well take advantage of it and let Braun show off her talent!
