General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that there’s some juicy news to pass along. Let’s face it: most of us love hearing all the dirty little secrets of the soap world! It’s a fascinating business, and there are always things coming out through the grapevine. In a new issue of Soap Opera Digest, they offered some great blind items for everyone to mull over.
These blind items could be about any of the four main soaps, but some of them are almost certainly about GH. For example, they revealed that “a fan favorite will be home for the holidays.” That definitely sounds like Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot), who’s return to the show was recently confirmed.
However, there’s a separate blind item that should pique fans’ interest. It insists that a “major star” is set to make a comeback soon. Since Tracy’s a fan fave and the holidays were specifically mentioned in her return announcement, she’s probably the answer to the previous blind item and not this one. It’s not the same teaser, which means another big soap star is returning to one fictional town.
Of course, there’s a chance this is about a star on Days of Our Lives, The Young and the Restless or The Bold and the Beautiful instead. If it is about GH though, who could it be? Since Tracy’s returning, is there a chance Anthony Geary could reprise his role as Luke Spencer? That’s one possibility to consider.
Then again, it could be some other significant soap star. There’s been a recent push to bring back some characters of the past on General Hospital, so it’ll be fun to see who else might pop up. Now let’s shift gears and focus on some behind-the-scenes clashing. It turns out one soap actress finds her co-star difficult to get along with and has become frustrated.
It’s anyone’s guess who that might be, but the blind item noted that their onscreen relationship was a close one. General Hospital has been known to have some feuding, so it’s definitely possible some cast members are struggling to keep the peace.
The last blind item suggested that one soap had spawned plenty of real-life couples, but that has to be The Young and the Restless. There must be something in the water over there because their casting department has pretty much become a matchmaking service! People are always finding love on the Y&R set.
Still, it’s interesting to ponder all the secrets and shockers of the soap biz. That major star’s comeback is something everyone will want to keep in mind in the months ahead.
