General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that two ABC soap stars have been showing Anthony Geary (ex-Luke Spencer) some love. GH fans are always rooting for Luke’s comeback, so it’s possible we just got some Twitter hints. Anything can happen in the soap world. There’s always big return news brewing, so this is something to keep an eye on.
Steve Burton (Jason Morgan) started out by posted a great photo of Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos) with Geary. Burton was clearly impressed with the shot. He said, “One of the coolest pics.. ever @MauriceBenard #tonygeary @GeneralHospital #legends #boss.”
Benard had a sweet reply to that. He suggested that it wasn’t all that cool since Burton wasn’t in it! Burton thanked his buddy for saying so, which provided a cute exchange for General Hospital viewers. However, Benard didn’t pipe up about Geary’s portion of the pic. For the other potential GH star clue, we should look to Kimberly McCullough (Robin Scorpio-Drake).
McCullough retweeted the tweet with a simple comment to voice her approval. “Damn,” McCullough said. She added a see no evil monkey emoji and got fans excited about the possibility of Luke getting back in the action. There’s no official word on Geary’s potential return, but he had some interesting things to say in an ABC Soaps in Depth interview.
When asked if he might return one day, Geary argued it could happen. ““I don’t rule anything out,” Geary said. “One of the things I’ve learned from being on the planet 70 years is to say ‘I don’t do this’ or ‘I don’t do that’ just limits your options. I try to keep an open mind about everything.” Geary added that he’d “never say never” as a result. He even said he’d like to do “whatever makes people happy.”
Burton and McCullough certainly seem on board with this Luke comeback idea. Could that be why they’re gushing over an old pic? Could Luke be fresh in their minds because a return stint is in the works? McCullough and Burton might even by dropping a little clue about it. They wouldn’t be allowed to come right out and spill something like that, but they could post a fun photo as a teaser.
