The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that Steffy Forrester’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) comeback stint will bring some excitement. B&B can finally take this baby swap plot to places they couldn’t go before. Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) has had some close calls while Steffy’s been out of the picture. She nearly found out the truth about Beth Spencer on more than one occasion.
Now it’ll be Steffy’s turn to get some of those close calls. Of course, there’ll inevitably come a day when the truth indeed comes out. If you’ve watched soaps for any lengthy period of time, you know how these things work. Baby swap storylines have certain plot points they need to hit along the way.
Steffy is on cloud nine right now while Hope’s miserable, but that’ll change eventually. The secret will trickle out as the threat of exposure grows. In many storylines like this, the stand-in mom finally learns of the switch and is forced to make a choice: give up the baby she loves or keep the secret to protect her own happiness.
If The Bold and the Beautiful follows the typical path, we can pretty much count on Steffy to find out the truth and face that decision. Many B&B viewers also happen to be fans of The Young and the Restless.
If you fall into that category, you may recall how Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) found out her beloved boy “Sully” was actually Christian Newman (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen), the son of her ex.
Sharon adored “Sully,” so she chose to keep quiet. There’s a good chance Steffy will make that choice, too. We don’t have to agree with Steffy’s decision, but the story works if we can understand why she made it.
Since this big reveal could happen months or even years down the road, everyone should be able to see why Steffy would want to keep “Phoebe Forrester” (Isabella de Armas and Rosalind Aune). We’ll be able to sympathize with both Hope and Steffy, which is the best way for this storyline to end up. The wait may be long, but the payoff will be huge!
