The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that another familiar face was spotted on set. Melissa Ordway (Abby Newman) posted a cute pic on Instagram, which featured her sandwiched between Abby’s doctor ex and her current doctor love interest. Sean Carrigan (ex-Ben “Stitch” Rayburn) was at the Y&R studio, so he posed for a photo with Ordway and Sean Dominic (Nate Hastings).
There’s no word on whether or not Stitch might show up onscreen. Based on Ordway’s Instagram caption, it appears this might’ve just been a friendly visit. She said, “When the new guy you’re dating meets your ex husband…Abby has a thing for drs…@realseancarrigan it was so good to see you today!!!”
Ordway didn’t say she was so glad to have Carrigan back or point to any other days he might be around. Carrigan also wasn’t in the right wardrobe, especially not compared to his fellow pic posers. Ordway and Dominic were looking quite dapper as usual, but Carrigan went casual. Perhaps Carrigan just wanted to stop by and say hi to the people he used to work with.
However, there’s a chance Carrigan had already changed clothes or was set to change later. There’s even a chance Carrigan was at the studio for a meeting about a possible return. Y&R is making an effort to bring back former characters and actors. There’s no reason why Stitch couldn’t be one of them at some point.
Of course, we have to ask ourselves if Stitch is needed on canvas. The answer is probably…not really. Nate and Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) seem to have the medical angle covered, so Stitch’s services just aren’t necessary. The Young and the Restless could bring Stitch back for love, but there aren’t a ton of places where he’d fit at the moment.
Naturally, we’re just talking about if this were long-term. A short stint for Stitch might be fun – much like the one Chloe Mitchell’s (Elizabeth Hendrickson) set to have. She won’t be around long, but it’ll be enough to pack a punch. Maybe Y&R could find a way to work in Stitch briefly as well.
Regardless, it was nice to see Ordway share her blast from the past! The Young and the Restless spoilers say some great drama’s ahead in Genoa City. We’ll give you updates as other Y&R news comes in.
