The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will demand the truth from Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson). Y&R fans know Billy went to a dark place after Adam’s return to Genoa City. He developed an alternate personality and blacked out when this sinister version of himself tried to run down Adam.
Billy ultimately faced his inner demons and moved past his revenge fantasies, but that doesn’t erase what he did. He’ll still have to answer for his unhinged behavior. When Adam confronts him, Billy will decide his best bet is to just come clean. He won’t want Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) to hold this over him, so he’ll confess to Adam and eliminate any chance of leverage.
Billy will also think this could provide some sense of closure. He’ll want to take responsibility for his actions and put that awful chapter behind him. Of course, Adam will still be angry – and he has every right to be! Many Y&R viewers are sick and tired of Adam being treated like he murdered a little girl. He accidentally caused Delia Abbott’s (Sophie Pollono) death after Billy decided to leave his young child unattended.
Billy Abbott’s Killer Mindset When He Targeted Adam Newman
Billy, on the other hand, had a killer mindset the night he went after Adam. He doesn’t remember it, but if Adam doesn’t get any excuses for his mistake, then neither does Billy. The Young and the Restless spoilers say this confrontation will get heated after Billy’s admission. Adam will want more details, so he’ll push Billy to reveal who pushed him out of the way.
Here’s where Billy will make a bizarre decision: he’ll refuse to tell Adam that Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) saved his life. You’d think sharing that would be a good thing, right? Adam deserves to know the woman who’s tried to kill him multiple times came to his rescue. It was proof of Chloe’s turnaround since she previously would’ve loved to see Adam dead.
However, Billy will think he should just leave Chloe out of this. He’ll feel like Chloe’s finally free, so he won’t want Adam coming around and interacting with her for any reason. Billy will believe Chloe should keep moving forward, so he’ll stay tight-lipped about her heroic efforts.
Adam Newman Realizes He Has Some Power Over Billy Abbott
As for Adam, he’ll realize he’s got some power. Adam will point out that he could press charges, but Billy might counter that Victor could do the same. We can’t forget Victor gave Adam a pass for the altered meds and later determined Billy deserved a second chance, too. Victor surely doesn’t want Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) main squeeze to land behind bars.
Still, Billy will worry about the trouble Adam might stir up. He won’t want this shocker getting out, especially now that he’s in charge at Jabot. Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) in charge as well, but it’s clear that Billy thinks he’s running the show. He’s ready to take Jabot to the next level, so he’ll fret about potentially facing a trial and having to plead a case for temporary insanity. Will Adam be able to resist exposing Billy and destroying his corporate image?
Adam outing Billy’s temporarily insanity and attempted murder could derail his plans for dominance at Jabot and might inadvertently do Kyle a huge favor!
