The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease another familiar face is on her way back to Genoa City. Chloe Mitchell (played by Elizabeth Hendrickson) is set to make a big return to the CBS soap opera. And the word on social media is, this will happen by mid-summer!
The last time we saw Chloe on Y&R, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) was helping her get out of Genoa City without being caught by police. He helped fake her death and snuck her out of the city. Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) went with her to Seattle alongside their daughter.
Of course, Kevin told his family that he wanted to get a fresh start in a new place. He obviously needed to get away after Chloe’s (fake) death.
As for Adam Newman (now Mark Grossman), Chloe was responsible for breaking a gas pipe and lighting the cabin on fire with Adam (then Justin Hartley) handcuffed to a bedpost.
Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) later said they found Adam’s DNA in the cabin, which somewhat confirmed his death. However, it could have just been blood or some other source of DNA.
That brings us up to date on what we know for sure about Adam, Kevin, and Chloe’s backstory and the start point of the returning storylines. Kevin has returned to Y&R a few times in the past few years. Chloe, however, has not. So, what would bring her return? And, how will she explain she really didn’t die?
Well, according to the Y&R spoilers, the person who saved Adam could have been Chloe herself. At the last minute, she may have decided that she didn’t want Adam to die and pulled him out to safety.
While she didn’t want him to die, that didn’t mean she wanted her best friend, Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) with him. So, she might have let everyone believe Adam was dead, keeping it a secret that she saved him from the cabin explosion.
Of course, it is possible that she told Victor right away that Adam was alive and he could have been overseeing his care.
Not much is known about her return other than it is coming in the summer and the actress seems excited about it. And, that hasn’t been completely confirmed yet, just hinted.
Elizabeth Henderickson posted to Instagram a picture of herself and Greg Rikaart (Kevin) with the caption,” There’s a lot of love in this picture. And a lot more to come! #daytimeemmys #actress #chloemitchell.
Given the fact that Elizabeth used the hashtag #ChloeMitchell, that’s a pretty good indication that she is making her way to Y&R again. And, we know that Rikaart and Egan (Chelsea) are coming back to the soap opera with a meaty storyline soon.
