The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Friday, March 8 Recap – Nick Hopes to Find J.T. Alive – Mia Gets Dumped - Closing Arguments

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Friday, March 8, tease that Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will testify about her horrific engagement to J.T. Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbill). She’ll describe how their reunion came about and how J.T. quickly turned abusive. Victoria will admit the abuse was both emotional and physical. Her therapist’s notes and the video evidence will back that up.

Victoria will confess that she hit J.T. once in an attempt to fight back, but that’s it. She’ll recap how Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) only wanted to protect her that night. Victoria will contend that Nikki just wanted her daughter to live, not for J.T. to die. She’ll tell the court that Phyllis Summers (Gina Tognoni) convinced the rest of them to cover everything up.

Next, Christine Williams (Lauralee Bell) will take her turn. She’ll point out that Victoria didn’t sustain injuries after the fight that was caught on camera. Christine will note that Victoria agreed to marry J.T., who never got physical with her again until the night he died. Victoria will protest that J.T. never stopped being emotionally abusive. He controlled every aspect of her life.

Christine will argue that J.T.’s job with the GCPD was the real reason for the breakup. She’ll run down the list of the cover-up crew’s activities before Michael’s up again. He’ll get Victoria to talk about how terrified she was. Victoria will admit she’d be dead if Nikki hadn’t intervened, but it’ll be taken off the record. Nevertheless, Michael will make his point and rest his case.

During the recess, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will talk to Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow). He’ll hate that Phyllis was there with the other ladies on girls’ night. Billy will feel like they would’ve called the cops without Phyllis there to mess it all up. Nick will note that J.T. could still be alive. He’ll feel like finding J.T. could be the key to saving Nikki, Victoria and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case).

Once court resumes, The Young and the Restless spoilers say Christine will give her closing argument. She’ll insist that this was murder – plain and simple. Christine won’t want the jury to forget how the defendants buried J.T. like roadkill and hid the truth for months. She’ll indicate that a not guilty verdict would send a dangerous message.

Michael will wrap things up by bringing up reasonable doubt and suggesting the prosecution has this case twisted. He won’t think J.T. should be viewed as the real victim here. Michael will push for the jury to declare these women not guilty. Sharon, Victoria and Nikki will just have to hope for the best now.

Other Y&R spoilers say Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) will spar with Mia Rosales (Noemi Gonzalez) at home. At first, he’ll try to convince Mia that she’s the woman he wants. When pressed, Rey will decide Mia’s right. He won’t think he can stay in this marriage when he’s in love with Sharon.

Mia will sob and complain about how Rey isn’t fighting for their relationship. He’ll feel like this just can’t work, but he’ll plan to be there for the baby and for Mia as a mom. Mia will plead with Rey, but he won’t be able to get past all their problems. Rey will point out that this is really about what happened with Arturo Rosales (Jason Canela) and Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle), not Sharon.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Rey will decide to go see Lola in the hospital. He’ll leave Mia to cry alone and presumably plot her next move!
