The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will feel all alone on Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) hate island. Many fans are right there with him, but we’re talking about the growing support for Theo in Genoa City. Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will remain eager to make Theo feel welcome among the Abbotts. He’ll even arrange a meeting with Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams) so Theo can get to know his grandmother – at least as much as he can under the circumstances.
Kyle’s been tormented by Theo for months and has struggled to buy this new-and-improved act. Y&R viewers are struggling to buy it, too. Theo is a schemer at heart, so he’s always going to be cooking up a plot. The writers simply found a way to make Theo smoother at his sneaky tactics.
That’s wise since before Theo might as well have been carrying a sign that said, “Don’t trust me.” Now Theo has a few moments of vulnerability here and there – or so it seems. Who really knows with Theo? That’s why Kyle can’t be too careful, especially when it comes to his family.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Kyle will rev up his warnings during the week of November 4-8. He’ll want Jack to understand that Theo is bad news and not someone they should let too close. Kyle will feel like this sudden blood tie is hindering Jack’s ability to see the truth. He won’t see why Theo being related to them should give him instant acceptance.
However, Kyle will be afraid of pushing too hard on this issue. He’ll know it’s a tricky subject since Dina’s involved. Plus, Jack and several other Abbotts will be adamant that Theo deserves his spot in the fam. They’ll act like Kyle’s being unreasonable, so he’ll turn to Lola Abbott (Sasha Calle) for comfort.
Sadly, Lola won’t have the response Kyle’s expecting. She’ll basically think Kyle need to suck it up and accept that Theo’s family now. Lola will continue to defend Theo as their friendship grows. Theo will play this exactly right and manage to alienate Kyle from the people he loves. He’ll turn on that phony charm in many cases and make Kyle look like the outrageous one.
To be fair, Kyle could probably tone down his anger and handle this a bit better. He’d come across as more rational that way. Nevertheless, we can understand his frustration since everybody will be acting like Theo’s a harmless teddy bear. Kyle knows that isn’t true, but nobody will be a true ally. That includes his wife, so the fact that Lola’s backing Theo up will sting.
Of course, Theo will take great pleasure in using this to his advantage. He’ll play the victim and grow closer to Lola, who’ll likely grow more distant from Kyle. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Kyle and Lola’s relationship will be tested during November sweeps. You can bet Theo will be at the center of the conflict.
Theo’s new link to Dina (and the Abbotts as a result) could be the start of “Kola’s” destruction. A Theo and Lola pairing seems inevitable if this keeps up.
