The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Monday, December 30, teases that some big surprises are in store. First, Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) will be taken aback by a sack of gifts at Society. They’ll ponder who they might belong to until Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) notices a Newman Enterprises label.
Mariah and Tessa will determine that they should drop the gifts off at the Newman ranch. Since Theo appears to be all alone on Christmas, Tessa will worry about him. She’ll nudge Mariah into inviting Theo to tag along, but he’ll claim he’s got plans and will be celebrating in style later. After Mariah and Tessa are gone, Theo will seem a bit glum.
Meanwhile, Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) will fret over a different discovery. He’ll be back at the penthouse after finding a freezing stray kitten with his parents in the park. Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) will reassure her son, who’ll name the cat “Oliver” and insist that he can’t die.
After Connor goes to get some milk, Chelsea and Adam will wonder what they’ll do if the kitten doesn’t pull through. Thankfully, Oliver will indeed awaken and become Connor’s new pet. Connor will pipe up that he wants to donate his allowance to help sick animals. Seeing Connor like this will leave Chelsea hopeful that things are turning around for the kid. She’ll be glad she stuck around at Adam’s place.
At the ranch, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will come running in with a baby girl that was left in the stables. She’ll show the baby to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and they’ll gush over her. Victor will think they should get in touch with Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) about this.
Other Young and the Restless spoilers say Nate and Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) will be on duty at the hospital. They’ll debate Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) again before Victor calls. Nate will encourage Elena to come with him to the ranch since he could use her assistance.
Once Nate and Elena show up, they’ll get updates on the baby situation. After it’s confirmed that there are no signs of neglect, Nikki will insist she wants to find this child’s mom. A woman named Sasha will come forward after being spotted on the property. She’ll confess that she’s been living in an abandoned car with her little girl, “Joy.” There’s no father in the picture and times have been tough due to Sasha’s health issues.
Sasha thought Joy would have a better life if she left her with them, but she’ll admit she had a change of heart. Victor and Nikki will promise to get Sasha set up with a place at New Hope. Next, Mariah and Tessa will pop in with gift sack they found earlier. They’ll learn they were supposed to be delivered to the pediatric wing of the hospital, so they’ll tell Victor they can take them there.
Tessa will bring up lonely Theo and wonder if they should ask him to come, but Mariah will counter that he said he had plans. Back at Society, Theo will sit by himself at a table. At Crimson Lights, Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) and Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) will talk to “Santa” aka Frank – who’ll be bummed about Christmas being over as well as his divorce. Kevin will eventually round up some kids to put a smile back on “Santa’s” face. He’ll also urge Frank to do some volunteer work at the children’s center.
Finally, Y&R spoilers say Chloe will reveal one last Christmas shocker. She’ll give some baby shoes, so Kevin will quickly catch on. An overjoyed Kevin will kiss Chloe over her pregnancy and announce to the rest of the coffeehouse that they’re having a baby.
