The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Monday, October 14, teases that Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) will fret over Connor Newman (Judah Mackey), who refused to go to school. Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will get updates on the kid’s latest outburst and suggest calling Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) again. Chelsea will remain concerned as she heads off to the Grand Phoenix.
At Crimson Lights, Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) will bring Sharon up to speed on the new baby in the family. Arturo Rosales (Jason Canela) and Mia Rosales (Noemi Gonzalez) had a little boy, so Rey will show off a picture of his nephew. Talk will turn to the reason Rey’s there: to get coffee and ask for another date. Sharon won’t be so sure that’s a good idea, but Rey will hope he can convince her to try again.
Next, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will hear about a councilman who’s stepping down. A councilwoman will find Nick and if he’d consider running for office. Sharon will assure Nick that he’s got her vote, but Nick will feel like he’s got a lot on his plate. However, he’ll ultimately agree to mull it over. Once Sharon learns Connor’s still acting out, she’ll be willing to talk to him again. Rey will promise to be in touch about that date he mentioned.
On the coffeehouse patio, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) will reflect on a somber anniversary. They’ll discuss the day they said goodbye to Delia Abbott (Sophie Pollono) and acknowledge that they’re handling the loss better now. Afterward, Billy will get a text from Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), who’ll want to talk about the night Billy tried to kill Vic’s son.
At the Grand Phoenix, Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) will let Chelsea know the money laundering is going well. Even so, Kevin won’t think either one of them can let their guards down. The last thing they want is to end up behind bars. Once Chloe shows up, Chelsea will offer a sympathetic hug over Delia. She’ll mention some of her own issues with Connor before Esther Valentine (Kate Linder) arrives.
Back at Nick’s place, Sharon will gently push Connor to open up about Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). Connor will rant about his dad lying before Chelsea walks in. He’ll snap that his mom’s a liar as well, so he’s clearly still struggling. Sharon will think they need to bring a therapist in on this. Later, a terrified Chelsea will tell Nick about seeing Adam in Connor’s eyes. They’ll hear something break in the other room as Connor shouts.
At the Abbott mansion, Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) will advise Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) about their book. She’ll think it’s important to include the tragedies along with the triumphs. Traci will think the beginning of their parents love story is a good place to start. Moments later, Jack will get a call about Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams), who fell at her memory care facility and hurt herself.
Thankfully, Dina will only suffer a minor wrist sprain. He’ll take Dina to Society and chat with her for a bit. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Dina will end up mentioning “dear sweet Stuart,” who became a newspaperman. She’ll assure Jack that she loved John Abbott (Jerry Douglas), but she’ll continue gushing over smart and dashing Stuart.
Dina will start getting confused at that point and ask Jack to take her home. He’ll reconvene with Traci later and fill her in on Dina’s Stuart claims. They’ll talk about the country club photo with Stuart Brooks in it. Traci will vow to get to the bottom of this connection if there is one.
Other Y&R spoilers say Delia’s loved ones will celebrate her life in the park. Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) couldn’t make it, but the others will see that she tied a ribbon around Delia’s tree. Billy, Chloe, Kevin, Esther, Jack and Traci will all reflect on Delia before they join hands. They’ll come together as Billy tells “Dee Dee” that they love her.
