The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that J.T. Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbill) may still be out there somewhere. After all, there’s no genuine proof since his body is still missing. Who’s to say someone didn’t come along and pull J.T. out of that hole in the nick of time?
Plus, J.T.’s memorial service is coming up on The Young and the Restless later this week. When a soap holds a memorial service without a corpse, it’s a red flag. However, J.T. may not be the sole tormentor of the Newman clan. Perhaps he needed a partner in crime to help him out with certain tasks.
It’s not like J.T. can just roam around freely in Genoa City, so he might’ve needed someone to do at least a little of his dirty work. Who would J.T. turn to? It’s not like he had lots of shady friends who’d be willing to pitch in on this. J.T.’s best bet would be using someone he has power over. He could blackmail his way into scoring an ally.
Naturally, that would mean convincing a cover-up crew member to help. Since Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) is one of the intended victims, she’s out. Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) would never go along with it under even the worst circumstances, so she’s out, too. Poor Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) is a freaked-out mess on any given day, so she’d be completely useless to J.T.
That leaves Phyllis and as it turns out, she’d be the perfect fit. She’s one of the few people in town who loathes Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) as much as J.T. does. Phyllis is also probably the only girl of the girls’ night gang who might cave in. She might’ve wanted to save herself from J.T.’s wrath and the setups he’s got in store for the others.
J.T. could’ve contacted Phyllis and suggested that things would get ugly for her if she didn’t cooperate. He might’ve exploited her hatred of Victor and insisted that they needed to take him down together. Phyllis will expose J.T.’s abuse at the upcoming memorial service, but she’ll only do it to cause a distraction and prevent Nikki’s confession. Even if J.T. finds out, he’d likely let that slide.
After all, Phyllis could just be protecting their plan! This would definitely explain the peril that’s looming for Phyllis. The Young and the Restless spoilers say danger will erupt as the cover-up alliance splits apart. Maybe Phyllis’ potential secret will have something to do with that. If she’s got J.T. as a partner in crime on the side, there are plenty of ways for all this to go wrong.
As for the evidence that’s been planted in this storyline, it may have been a tag-team effort. Some parts of the plot may have been carried out by Phyllis and others may have been handled by J.T. himself. However, Phyllis is bound to regret this if she’s indeed mixed up with a very much alive J.T. He just might turn on her eventually!
