The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Monday, April 29, tease that the CBS soap will deliver a very special episode. Y&R fans have been mourning the loss of Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John) along with the rest of Genoa City. We watched as his family dealt with this shocking blow and struggled through a difficult funeral. Friday also brings some happier moments with fond Neil memories.
However, Monday will be all about the man behind Neil. It’ll be time to honor Kristoff St. John, so expect his costars to reflect and share heartwarming stories. The Young and the Restless put out a great promo video, which features St. John remembering his first day on set. He taped some interview segments before his passing, so we’ll get to hear from St. John himself.
Y&R viewers will also see some comebacks as part of this tribute. Mishael Morgan (ex-Hilary Hamilton) and Victoria Rowell (ex-Drucilla Winters) will be on hand to open up about their experiences. They both knew and loved St. John tremendously, so they’ll talk about what it was like to work with him and what he brought to the table.
Shemar Moore (Malcolm Winters) will also be interviewed along with plenty of the Y&R regulars. Bryton James (Devon Hamilton) will point out how St. John was the kind of guy who could do it all. He undoubtedly counts himself lucky to have worked with St. John so much over the years. They built a sweet relationship, and that’s been evident through James’ fantastic work as grieving Devon.
Christel Khalil (Lily Ashby) and Daniel Goddard (Cane Ashby) will join the aforementioned actors on the penthouse set. Next, we’ll see Eric Braden (Victor Newman) and Melody Thomas Scott) discuss St. John’s legacy along with Amelia Heinle (Victoria Newman) and Joshua Morrow (Nick Newman).
In Monday’s promo, Morrow gets choked up thinking about what a wonderful friend St. John was. “I just hope he knows how much I loved him,” Morrow says. The Young and the Restless spoilers state that the tribute will continue with Kate Linder (Esther Valentine), Tracey E. Bregman (Lauren Baldwin), Hunter King (Summer Abbott), Gina Tognoni (Phyllis Summers) and Christian LeBlanc (Michael Baldwin).
The actors from the Abbott family unit will also be included in this special episode. Peter Bergman (Jack Abbott), Eileen Davidson (Ashley Abbott), Melissa Ordway (Abby Newman), Beth Maitland (Traci Abbott) and Jason Thompson (Billy Abbott) will all chat on the Abbott mansion set. Look for Jess Walton (Jill Atkinson) to join in that conversation as well.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say all the usual storylines will resume with new episodes Tuesday, April 30, but Monday will bring reflection and a celebration of Kristoff St. John’s life.
