The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Summer Newman (Hunter King) will try to get a grip on her feelings. Y&R fans know Summer’s worked hard to get back to a place of friendship with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). It took some time, but they’re on solid ground again and enjoy each other’s company.
Summer would obviously rather be with Kyle romantically, but she doesn’t want to blow this. They’ve established some boundaries, so Summer will do her best to respect those. However, that’ll become increasingly difficult as Kyle leans on Summer for support. This situation with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) is really stressing him out, so Summer will continue to step up for him.
During the week of October 21-25, The Young and the Restless spoilers say Billy and Kyle will get into another heated argument. Kyle will feel like Billy wants him to fail, so they’ll bicker over experience and what they each bring to the table. Summer will naturally take Kyle’s side in this war and remind Billy of all the good Kyle’s done for Jabot.
In fact, Summer’s done a lot of good there, too. They make a great team, which is yet another reason why Summer’s struggles will get worse. The more time Summer spends around Kyle, the harder it’ll be to handle her glowing heart. It was easier to keep Kyle at a distance when Summer felt angry and rejected. Summer now feels like she has a true friend in Kyle – perhaps her only real one.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Kyle and Lola Abbott’s (Sasha Calle) plans will spell trouble as well. Summer will be a bit jealous over “Kola’s” dreams for the future. All the house-hunting and kid-planning will leave Summer wishing she was in Lola’s position. It’ll be overwhelming for Summer since she had those same dreams. Summer could’ve had it all if she’d only accepted her feelings sooner.
At some point, all of this may become too much for Summer to bear. Is Y&R building to a major outburst? It’s easy to imagine Summer snapping and ultimately breaking down in tears. Summer may divulge that she’s still crazy about Kyle and can’t keep pretending she’s not. It has to be exhausting to play the part of a devoted friend when she wants so much more.
Summer may admit that she can’t be friends with Kyle. She might even decide to quit her job at Jabot. It’s clear that Summer’s feelings are growing, but they have nowhere to go. All they can do is explode and leave Kyle to deal with the mess. Of course, an outburst like this could leave Kyle with a lot on his mind. He’s been bonding with Summer lately, so part of him has to be feeling what she’s feeling.
Kyle and Lola have been battling some conflict in their marriage, and that trend will continue. As “Kola” starts to crumble, Summer could get a golden opportunity. Will she push Kyle for another chance? Does part of Kyle want Summer back?
