The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Thad Luckinbill Previews J.T.’s Crazy Comeback – Reveals How Y&R Made This Twist Happen

Young and the Restless Spoilers JT Hellstrom [Thad Luckinbill]

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that a big surprise is brewing in the courtroom. Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will fear the worst once the verdict comes in. Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) won’t be too optimistic either. Christine Williams (Lauralee Bell) presented a strong case against them, so they won’t want to get their hopes up.

However, the verdict that comes back will catch them all over guard. It’s possible they’ll be found not guilty or perhaps guilty of lesser charges, but the point is a shocker’s looming. It turns out this shocker will set up an even bigger one. The Young and the Restless spoilers say a crazy twist will change the game, so this must be when J.T. Hellstrom’s (Thad Luckinbill) return will shake things up.

That’s most likely the only way to get the cover-up crew out of trouble. In an interview with Soap Opera Digest, Luckinbill seemed to back up the idea that J.T. survived. He offered Young and the Restless fans the scoop on his comeback and how it all came together.

“When I left there last year after the story, I kind of assumed that was it, and so I wasn’t really paying attention to what was happening with the character…I’ve come to understand now that it’s been quite a big story since then,” Luckinbill said. He’s certainly right about that! This storyline’s been going on for almost a year, so viewers are eager to see a major payoff.

It turns out having J.T. come back from the dead wasn’t always the plan – or if it was, Y&R hadn’t gotten around to it until Josh Griffith, Y&R’s new head writer, took over. His idea on how to wrap it all up included J.T.’s return. “He called me and pitched me loosely what he was thinking about doing and I said sure,” Luckinbill said.

Luckinbill added that he was thrilled to come back and see everyone on set. He insisted it’s like a little family reunion every time. Despite the sinister turn in his character, Luckinbill still loves working at Y&R and bringing J.T. to life. “I love that place, so I’m happy to come back and do a little more and continue the character a little bit,” Luckinbill said.

Since Luckinbill’s continuing the character, that seems to indicate that we’ll see more than just flashbacks or an evil twin situation. It sounds like J.T. genuinely rose from the grave somehow, so everyone will be anxious to see how he pulled it off!
