The Young and the Restless Spoilers: The Moustache Blunders With Nikki - Victor's Surprising Murder Conviction?

The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) heard what Nate (Brooks Darnell) had to say and won’t continue to follow it. She smiled tightly, convincing him that his sound, conservative medical advice would be followed. Later that same day she signed herself out of Genoa City Memorial Hospital, after telling a charge nurse that it was her legal right to go against Dr. Hastings’ wishes.

Ah, those Newman’s. Can’t live with them, pass the beer nuts. That was a variation on a famous quote Norm (George Wendt) once offered on the classic situation comedy, ‘Cheers.’ The spirit of his message is applicable to this Y&R family, as Nikki and Victor (Eric Braeden) remain tied because they are so much alike, but who can live with ‘Niktor’ besides themselves?

Victor remains locked up at the GC Police Department. Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) foolishly charged The Moustache with the murder of J.T. Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbill), which won’t stick. One way, or the other, Victor will be freed. But that could take awhile in soapy time.

Whether Victor’s charges will be shifted to Nikki is a good question, as she is guilty of accidentally taking Luckinbill’s character’s life, as part of a deeply debatable storyline.

Victor wants his “sweetie” to say nothing. But love isn’t logic, so there’s no way to know if Nikki will eventually confess all to Detective Rosales, or if some inadvertent action will rip this case wide open in the not-too-distant future.

Circumstantial evidence isn’t something Christine (Lauralee Bell) felt comfortable with standing on. Yet, that’s all Rey used when he charged Victor with murder.

The bloody shirt and Victor’s gun were found at the Ranch, which was burned down, another crime that remains unsolved. Adding in Victor’s time away overseas and his past, public comments about wanting J.T. dead, Rey believed enough existed to press charges. So he did.

But where is J.T.’s body? How was it moved and by who?

There is no evidence linking Victor to the answers to those questions. As GC’s District Attorney, Christine knows that the prosecution’s case is flimsy without the man’s corpse. No time and date of death can be established, or definitive link as to how, or by whom J.T. was killed. Or even solid evidence that he is dead….

However, until other evidence is discovered, or provided, it’s now become possible that perceived dots will be linked in court and Victor will be convicted. He doesn’t and won’t want Nikki to rescue him.

If Nikki abides by her love’s wishes, then Victor could wear the bluish-gray jumpsuit indefinitely on Y&R. CDL is a leading source for everything linked to The Young and the Restless. Check back regularly for Y&R spoilers and news!
