The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Thursday, March 7 Recap – Phyllis Suspects Kyle's Proposal - Rey Offers To Resign From GCPD

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Thursday, March 7, tease that Brittany Hodges (Lauren Woodland) will grill Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso). She’ll put him on the stand and force him to reveal the details surrounding Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) confession. Brittany will point out that Rey’s a married man, but he was at Sharon’s house on Valentine’s Day.

Rey will also discuss how he spotted the clue on Sharon’s phone bill and confronted her. When Brittany asks if Rey professed his love to Sharon that night, he’ll try to sidestep the question. Of course, Brittany won’t allow that. She’ll push the issue and get Rey to admit that he did.

Y&R spoilers say Brittany will argue that Sharon was manipulated into confessing. She’ll think Rey used her feelings to make her open up. Rey will shut down that idea, so Brittany will contend that Rey must truly be in love with Sharon. If it’s not a trick, it has to be real. Nevertheless, Rey will stand by his claims that he’s a happily married man.

Brittany will suggest that means her coercion idea adds up. She’ll recap how Rey grew closer to Sharon and laid the groundwork for all this. When it’s Christine Williams’ (Lauralee Bell) turn, Rey will assure her that he didn’t force Sharon to spill anything. He’ll note that Sharon said “I love you” back and reiterate that there was no manipulation involved.

Once Rey’s testimony concludes, an irate Mia Rosales (Noemi Gonzalez) will corner her hubby. She won’t be pleased after hearing Rey’s side of the story. Before their confrontation can go any further, Christine will drag Rey to the GCPD. She’ll scold him about the predicament he’s caused, so he’ll offer to resign.

Back with Sharon, she’ll face backlash from Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle). Phyllis Summers (Gina Togoni) ratted them out officially, but Sharon’s initial confession is the one that set all this in motion. Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) will soon approach his clients for a conference. He’ll insist that a strategy adjustment is necessary.

Michael will tell Victoria she’s going to testify after all. He’ll plan to put domestic violence on trial, so we’ll see if this tactic actually works! In the meantime, Summer Newman (Hunter King) will shock her mother. She’ll fill Phyllis in on her engagement news and deal with the confusion that follows.

Phyllis won’t understand since Summer and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) were barely speaking up to now. She’ll also bring up Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle), but Summer will brush off Phyllis’ concerns. The Young and the Restless spoilers state that Summer will defend the rush. She’ll point out that she loves Kyle and he loves her, so that’s all Phyllis needs to know.

In the hospital, Kyle will sit by Lola’s beside and note that she’s got a liver donor. He’ll feel like all that matters is Lola will survive to fulfill her dreams. Afterward, Dr. Nate Hastings (Brooks Darnell) will learn Summer’s willing to donate, but she wants to remain anonymous. Back with Phyllis, she’ll catch up with Kyle later. Phyllis will pressure Kyle to explain why he’s suddenly engaged to Summer.

Kyle will simply contend that Summer’s a better match for him than Lola. Phyllis will be fine with this as long as Summer’s happy, but she’ll warn Kyle about backing out. This protective mom will think Summer’s vulnerable, so she won’t want to see her daughter get hurt.

Other Young and the Restless spoilers say Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will urge Kerry Johnson (Alice Hunter) to betray Phyllis. He’ll want to be kept in the loop on what happens behind closed doors, but Kerry will seem unsure. She’ll finally suggest that if she’s going through with this, she’ll need some kind of offer in writing.

At Rey’s apartment, Mia will still be seething over Rey’s earlier testimony. She’ll take a drink of beer before remembering the fake baby. Once Rey walks in, Mia will claim she was so distraught that she almost drank. She’ll rant that now everybody knows Rey’s in love with another woman.

It looks like Mia and Rey’s marriage is about to explode, but you can bet Mia will fight for what she wants. We’ll give you updates as other Y&R details emerge. Stay tuned to the CBS soap and don’t forget to check CDL often for the latest Young and the Restless spoilers, updates, and news.
