The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that we’ll see some heartwarming moments for the holidays. Some new Christmas info is already out, so we know there’ll be plenty of gifts and the typical cheer. However, there’ll be some gripping drama as well. Let’s take a look at what’s happening for one cluster of characters this December.
As Christmas draws near in Genoa City, two GC residents will be deeply distraught. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) will desperately need a Christmas miracle. We can gather a few clues from this interesting tidbit. For starters, Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) isn’t mentioned. Does that mean they’ll be hoping this miracle comes for him?
It seems that way, so let’s move forward with the assumption that Devon’s going to be in some trouble. At the moment, Devon’s upset over what appears to be a scam. He’s bound to be even more upset once the truth about Cane Ashby’s (Daniel Goddard) involvement comes out. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Cane will have to own up to what he’s done, which will set up his quick exit.
Colin Atkinson (Tristan Rogers) will accuse Cane of being in on the con job, and it looks like Cane will ultimately admit it. You can bet Devon will be absolutely livid at that point. Devon lost Hilary Hamilton (Mishael Morgan) in 2018 before Neil Winters passed away earlier in 2019. He’s battled panic attacks and has struggled to find a new normal, but he managed to do it with Elena by his side.
How could someone be so cruel as to target a man who’s been grieving like this? Devon isn’t just some stranger either! Cane was connected to Devon’s family through Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) for years. This is sure to be a deep betrayal, so Devon’s reaction will be an explosive one.
Y&R spoilers tell us that during the week of December 2-6, the past will haunt Devon. What does that mean exactly? No one can know for sure yet, but it could mean that history will repeat itself.
Y&R fans will remember the time Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) rigged the teleprompter at a New Year’s Eve gala. In 2016, Mariah tricked Hilary into making a public confession about tripping her co-host live on GC Buzz. Devon flew into a rage over Hilary’s lies and raced off in his new sportscar, which led to a crash.
Could something similar happen after Devon’s confrontation with Cane? Will Devon drive recklessly and once again find himself injured at Memorial? That would certainly explain why Elena and Nate will be praying for a miracle this Christmas.
Devon might end up in a coma with Nate as his doctor and Elena as the devoted girlfriend by his bedside. Of course, it’s also possible there’ll be a different reason Nate and Elena need a miracle, but it definitely sounds like tragedy will strike in some form.
