The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Tuesday, November 12 Review - Chance Apprehends Simon - Connor Traumatized By Violent Ordeal

The Young and the Restless spoilers review for Tuesday, November 12, tease that Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will do her best to calm Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) as the hostage standoff in the lobby of The Grand Phoenix continues. Simon Black (Jeffrey Vincent Parise) will now have his gun out, and he’ll realize that there are too many federal agents outside for him to escape.

Meanwhile, upstairs in Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) room, Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) will want to get eyes on what’s going on in the lobby. Together, they’ll watch the goings-on in the lobby on Phyllis’ laptop, while Phyllis needles Chance for information about who opened up the issue regarding Katherine Chancellor’s (Jeanne Cooper) will. Chance will admit that he has an idea about who was behind it.

In Amanda Sinclair’s (Mishael Morgan) room, Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard) will announce that the elevators aren’t working and the stairwells are closed, so they’re trapped on their floor. Amanda won’t like that one bit, and she’ll be visibly unnerved at the thought of being trapped. Cane will come right out and ask her where she was locked up and who put her there.

Back down in the lobby, Chelsea will offer to wire Simon $1 million from her mother, with a promise for the rest of the money, but he won’t trust her and he’ll take away everyone’s phones – except for Abby Newman’s (Melissa Ordway) phone, which she’ll hide under the front desk as she pushes the panic button hidden there.

Meanwhile, over at Crimson Lights, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will chat. Suddenly, Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) and Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) will burst in the place and announce that there’s a hostage situation at The Grand Phoenix. They’ll soon learn that Abby, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), Chelsea, and Connor have been taken hostage.

Back at The Grand Phoenix, Phyllis will text Abby again to let her know they can see her and they need her help. Paul will talk with Simon via the lobby phone, who will get agitated and violently pull Connor away from Adam and Chelsea. Simon will tell Paul that he wants $5 million and a private jet, and that he’s taking Connor with him.

While Simon’s got Connor, Chelsea will tell Adam that she’s sorry and that this whole thing is about Calvin’s money. Adam will tell Chelsea that he doesn’t blame her and he’ll be tender toward her, telling her this isn’t her fault. Simon will then tell Paul that he has 30 minutes to get him a jet before people start dying, starting with the little boy.

Up in Amanda’s room, she’ll spy the police outside through the window and remark that the press will probably be all over this and asking questions of everyone in the building. Cane will deduce that Amanda doesn’t want anyone to know that she’s there. He’ll advise her that her old life will catch up with her, and she’ll remark that she just wants to get out of this alive.

In the lobby, Connor will be in a daze, clearly disassociating from the situation, while Chance enters the air duct system. Adam will tell Simon to take him instead of Connor, since he’s higher profile, has unlimited resources, and knows how to get away with a crime. He’ll go on about his ability to elude the authorities and give Simon a whole new life. Simon will be amused.

Chance will get ready to make his move, and he’ll text Abby to get ready as he crawls above the action in the air ducts. Simon will get extremely agitated and grab Connor, shouting that he’s done talking, at which point Abby will cause a diversion by pretending to have nervous breakdown. Phyllis, who will be watching the action from her surveillance equipment will tell chance “Now!” and Chance will drop from the ceiling, apprehending Simon.

The cops will then swarm the lobby, and Nick will run in and embrace Chelsea. Connor will run to Adam, who will comfort his son, and Paul will regroup with Chance. Upstairs, Cane will tell Amanda that the lockdown has been lifted, and Amanda will say she’s fine now that she knows she can leave.

Finally, Nick will ask Chelsea what happened, and he’ll wonder whether this was all random or whether she was targeted. Chelsea will promise to answer Nick’s questions later, but right now she’ll need to be with Connor. She’ll then leave Nick and go to Connor and Adam for a group embrace, leaving Nick standing there alone.

One wonders how Connor is going to deal with all of this going forward. He’s been through so much, but to go through this kind of traumatic experience will be rough on him. One could argue that he was in need of professional help before this happened, but now that he’s been through this ordeal, he’ll certainly need some help. And the experience will probably make him even more likely to want his parents together and safe.
