The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Wednesday, September 4 Recap – Adam Worsens Victor’s Side Effects – Traci's Surprising News

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Wednesday, September 4, tease that Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will remain worried about Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson). She’ll fill Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) in on the rehab news, but she’ll admit she can’t find out which one Billy’s staying in. Victor will have his doubts about Billy even being in rehab at all.

Talk will turn to Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson), so Victor will admit he thinks she was Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) shooter. Victoria will get behind that theory and suggest Billy was likely protecting her. Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will join the family gathering soon enough. Y&R spoilers say Abby will admit she spoke with Adam and learned she wasn’t one of his targets.

Nikki will note that Adam came over to blast Victor recently. It’ll be clear to Victor that his son’s got a plot in motion. Abby will talk to Victor about Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) decision to leave town as well as Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) being named interim CEO. She’ll remind everyone about the Grand Phoenix opening before she takes off.

Afterward, Victor will spend some time with Christian Newman (Alex Wilson) and insist that the boy’s back where he belongs. Nick will be grateful for Victor’s continued support. At Society, Adam will casually place a newspaper over Nate Hastings’ (Sean Dominic) tablet and seek info on Victor’s medical condition. He’ll insist he worries about Victor despite their conflict, so Nate will admit he’s seeing positive signs of progress.

A call will come in for Nate, so he’ll step away briefly. That’ll give Adam an opportunity to swipe Nate’s tablet and make a devious move. Across town, Kyle will give Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) updates on Jack’s leave of absence. He’ll add that he’s in charge while his dad’s gone, so Traci will be happy for him.

At Crimson Lights, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will assure Summer Newman (Hunter King) that she wants her to be part of the Grand Phoenix opening. She wouldn’t expect Summer to ignore it just because of her issues with Abby and Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan). Phyllis will be bummed over being forced out of the deal, but she’ll feel confident Chelsea and Abby are going to botch this opening event.

The conversation will shift to Chelsea, who’s someone Phyllis and Summer can certainly agree on. Neither one of them will buy the idea that Chelsea’s changed. After Summer is summoned to speak with Kyle, she’ll tell Phyllis not to get into trouble before she takes off.

Of course, Phyllis can never avoid trouble for long! She’ll quickly find some when she heads to Adam’s penthouse. Phyllis will wonder if Adam blames Chloe for trying to run over him. She’ll determine that Chloe pumped a bullet in Adam and was held hostage for a while, but Adam will still feel confident Victor was responsible this time around.

As a result, Adam will whip out Nate’s tablet and push Phyllis to put her hacking skills to good use. He’ll want to access Victor’s medical records and mess with his dosages. Adam will suggest that Victor’s side effects will get worse, so the family will rally around him. He’ll think it’ll give them the prime opportunity to do whatever they want.

Phyllis will be wary at first due to Summer, but she’ll ultimately get on board. It won’t be long until Phyllis has the files Adam needs. She’ll impress Adam by clearing his digital footprint, but that won’t stop Nate’s suspicions back at Society. He’ll realize his tablet is gone while he’s talking to Abby, so he’ll ask if she thinks Adam would’ve stolen it.

Other Young and the Restless spoilers say Jack will get in touch with Traci during his travels. He’ll mention his desire to recharge, so Traci will hope her brother finds what he’s looking for. Jack will hope the same as we see a Pine Forrest Inn and Spa brochure nearby.

At Jabot, Summer will arrive to see Kyle. She’ll be taken aback by the family developments and the revelation that Kyle is now her boss. Summer will wonder how Lola’s going to feel about that, but Kyle will point out that Summer came to their wedding. He’ll think that went a long way as a gesture of support.

Kyle and Summer will establish that they work well together and opt to leave their personal lives off-limits. They’ll have a brainstorming session, which will cause Summer to bail on her plans with Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson). Summer will insist influencers should take over the Jabot feed during the Grand Phoenix opening, so Kyle will decide to trust her on that.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say they’ll be on great terms when Summer exits. Once he’s alone, Kyle will sit on the throne and soak in his new position of power. It probably won’t be long until Kyle’s first CEO snag hits! We’ll keep you posted as other Y&R details emerge.
