The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for the week of September 9-13 tease that the Grand Phoenix opening will create some buzz – just not the kind Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) and Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) were hoping for! These business partners will kick off the event with a positive outlook, but Zoe Hardisty’s (Anna Grace Barlow) scheme will ultimately leave them in panic mode.
Vengeful Zoe will use a distraction to her advantage in the week ahead. After Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) drops a glass and gets everyone’s attention, Zoe will slide some drugs in the Grand Sangria pitchers. As the guests start tossing the signature drinks back, the drugs will quickly take effect. It won’t be long until everyone’s acting pretty loopy, so Abby and Chelsea will freak. They’ll realize their opening is turning into a total nightmare.
Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will crash the event, but she’ll merely make a flashy entrance and wish the women well. Y&R spoilers say Phyllis will surprise Abby and Chelsea by offering congratulatory words. Thanks to Phyllis’ earlier conversation with Zoe, perhaps she’ll have a hunch that the little schemer’s going to do her dirty work for her. Regardless, Phyllis will be pleased by the catastrophe.
Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) has been pining for Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso), and he’s been longing for her, too. There are some Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) issues lingering between them, but they can’t deny they still want each other. That’ll become evident when Sharon grabs Rey and pulls him in for a sloppy kiss. It appears Rey will reciprocate as the drugs get honest for them.
Summer Newman (Hunter King) continues to battle feelings for Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), so those feelings will bubble up under the influence. It seems Kyle and Lola Abbott (Sasha Calle) won’t partake of the drugged beverages. That’ll make matters worse when Summer eventually makes her move.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Summer will catch Kyle off guard by locking lips with him. When Lola approaches, she’ll burn with jealousy over the shocker in front of her. Lola may think Kyle’s cheating on her, but that won’t exactly be true. He’ll be just as shocked as Lola is – and Summer wouldn’t be doing this without drugs in her system.
Even so, you can bet Lola’s insecurities will come roaring back. Will she forbid Kyle and Summer from working together? What about Zoe’s scandalous pics? It won’t be a good look for Jabot’s interim CEO if he’s splashed all over the Internet kissing someone besides his new wife.
Y&R fans can expect Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) to do some investigating and shut this party down. He’ll realize something shady happened, so The Young and the Restless spoilers say he’ll want some answes. Phyllis will likely be the top suspect due to her party crashing, but she could easily point the finger at Zoe.
However, Phyllis won’t miss an opportunity to gloat about Abby and Chelsea’s misfortune. She’ll call attention to the disaster and suggest it’s just what happens when you cross Phyllis Summers!
