Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) may be keeping a huge secret about his marriage. DOOL fans know Chad was all in on supporting Abigail DiMera’s (Kate Mansi) road to recovery. Despite Abigail’s many attempts to talk him out of it, Chad insisted on accompanying Abigail to her new treatment facility in Florida.
When Chad returned to Salem, Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) taunted him about what could be important enough to leave Abigail alone. Chad insisted he wouldn’t miss Gabi’s trial for the world, but he later made a confession to Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford). It turns out Abigail pushed Chad to come home and be with the kids.
Abigail doesn’t want Chad by her side, so it’s undoubtedly because she feels so hopeless. Chad’s even lost hope himself based on what he told Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford). The Abigail they know and love may never come back to them according to Chad.
That brings us to Chad’s strange behavior in this conversation with Jack. Why was Chad so uncomfortable with all that talk about being a good husband? Jack gushed about how happy he and Jennifer Deveraux (Melissa Reeves) are that Abigail chose Chad.
Despite Chad’s odd reaction, Jack went on and on about how no one could be a better husband to their daughter. Chad quickly excused himself like he’d rather be anywhere else than in that room hearing all this positive hubby stuff.
Is there something Chad isn’t ready to reveal to Jack yet? Did Abigail tell Chad she wants a divorce? That might be a good way to go under the circumstances.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Marci Miller will take over the role of Abigail down the road, but she’ll need a story when she arrives. There wouldn’t be much drama in Abigail coming home cured and jumping right back into a blissful romance.
Instead, Abigail may feel like she just can’t be the wife Chad needs anymore. Perhaps Abigail and Chad have been bickering in Florida about their future. Chad’s bizarre reaction to Jack’s praise could be a sign that Chad’s marriage is over. Maybe Chad is just keeping this Days divorce bomb to himself for a bit longer.
Will Chad have to fight for Abigail and their united family? Will Chad work to stop this divorce that Abigail potentially wants? That’d bring some great material for Billy Flynn and Marci Miller when the time comes. We’ll pass along updates as other Days news pops up.
