Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Charlie Dale (Mike Manning) will battle insecurities after he realizes there’s another man in Claire Brady’s (Isabel Durant) life.
DOOL fans know Claire admitted she thought she might give things another shot with Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams) – that is until Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) made her accusations.
Of course, the next romantic hurdle for Charlie and Claire was Theo Carver’s (Cameron Johnson) return. Once again, Claire found herself cozying up to a former flame and hoping it might lead somewhere. The truth is Claire was just scared of moving forward and putting herself out there again.
It was easier to fall into a familiar groove, which is why Charlie will be concerned about Claire’s connection with Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson). At first, Charlie may assume Ben is Claire’s ex, but she can set him straight on that.
Claire will undoubtedly reflect on the loss of Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal) again and how that’s helped her form a bond with Ben.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Claire will offer an explanation and assure Charlie that she’s the only guy she wants. Charlie will do his best to accept that, but he’ll still have some concerns. There’ll be some major jealousy going on and potentially even some fears due to Ben’s serial killer history.
However, Days spoilers confirm Charlie’s jealous side will be the main issue here. It’s interesting that DOOL writers are pulling Ben into the story now. Since Ben will still be hallucinating Ciara at Christmas, it’s clear that his heart still lies with his supposedly dead wife.
Ben’s relationship with Claire is strictly platonic at this point.
Even so, Charlie won’t like Ben and Claire’s connection – and that has to be building somewhere. Could it actually lead to Ben picking up on some negative vibes from Charlie? Due to his old battle with mental illness, Ben knows all about being one person on the surface and another one underneath.
Ben was able to hide the darkness within back when he was the necktie killer. He fooled almost all of Salem, so he might sense that there’s more than meets the eye with Charlie.
Days of Our Lives has been portraying Charlie as a caring, devoted new boyfriend for Claire – the perfect guy in many ways.
Alas, no one is perfect in Salem, which means Days viewers will see some secrets start to emerge eventually. Could Ben be the first one to see some red flags?
Charlie might become possessive and push Ben to keep his distance from Claire. Charlie could at least make it clear that he’s keeping an eye on Ben and this whole situation.
Ben could easily start seeing the potential for trouble and offer Claire a heads-up. Something about Charlie may not feel right to Ben. Claire’s bound to dismiss any warnings Ben offers, but that won’t stop him from looking out for Claire.
Ciara cared about Claire and wouldn’t want to see her get hurt, so Ben may step up and do some investigating. This mission could help keep Ben’s mind off his grief and help Claire in the long run.
