Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Ciara Brady’s (Victoria Konefal) exit will leave a huge hole in Ben Weston’s (Robert Scott Wilson) heart. How will Ben go on without Ciara by his side?
Will Ben ever find another love like the one he feels for Ciara? It’s clear that “Cin” has found something special, so Days will definitely face some challenges once Ben’s all alone in Salem.
Ciara has been Ben’s main scene partner and the driving force behind his whole redemption story. There’s been a constant theme of Ciara being the one to save Ben – his reason for hope after the darkest time of his life.
Sadly, Ben’s back in another dark time thanks to Eve Donovan (Kassie DePaiva) and Vincent (Michael Teh).
No matter how the rest of this storyline plays out, the end of it’s going to be Ben in Salem without Ciara. What will Days of Our Lives writers give Ben next? They might start out with Ben just moving past all this brainwashing trauma and trying to find his footing again.
However, a new love story may be on the horizon eventually. It’ll be tough to compete with what Ben and Ciara had, but Robert Scott Wilson hinted at the possibility of another romance – at least until Ciara potentially comes back someday. Here’s what Wilson had to say in an interview with Soap Opera Digest.
“We have extremely talented writers and producers, and they’re going to make sure they take care of this story,” Wilson said. “They’re going to fill the void the best they can. We’re going to miss Victoria in the time being…hopefully she pops back in and stays a familiar face in Salem. That’s the goal. We’ll see.”
Wilson’s certainly hopeful that Konefal will return for some stints and could perhaps keep the “Cin” storyline going somehow. However, Wilson did mention that the writers are going to try to fill the void – and that could mean giving Ben someone new to love.
Claire Brady (Isabel Durant) might be an intriguing option, especially considering her history with Ciara. There’s also Gwen Rizchech (Emily O’Brien), who might have sizzling chemistry with Ben if given the chance.
Lindsay Arnold (Allie Horton) also read with Wilson during her auditioning process, so no one can rule out a Ben and Allie romance either.
However, we’d say Ben probably won’t jump right into anything. Ben will need some time to let his heart heal, so any new love story that would have to come later. Even so, it’s something worth thinking about as we gear up for DOOL’s return to production this September.
