Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that it wouldn’t be Thanksgiving without a little family drama, especially in a town like Salem. DOOL has a special episode coming up to celebrate the holiday, but it won’t actually air on Thanksgiving.
Since Days will be preempted on Thursday, November 26, the Thanksgiving show will air a bit early on Wednesday, November 25. Just keep that in mind!
We’ve got a preview of what you can expect in this Thanksgiving special, so let’s talk about what’s in store. For starters, Jake Lambert (Brandon Barash) won’t see the need to hide the sparks that are flying with Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow).
Jake will be more than happy to go public with their budding romance, but Kate may drag her feet.
Of course, Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) will soon know Kate and Jake’s secret, so it may be out of their hands! Days of Our Lives spoilers say Gwen will gladly do some manipulating this Thanksgiving.
She’ll use all the key players like chess pieces in her vengeful plot against Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) and those closest to her.
DOOL fans will see Abigail and Chad fall prey to Gwen’s influence. Gwen will steer them both in the direction she wants them to go and make them believe what she wants them to believe. Despite Jake and Kate’s intense connection, Gwen will want Chad to think there’s something brewing between Jake and Abigail.
Jake will also have a new job at DiMera Enterprises by then courtesy of Li Shin (Remington Hoffman). That’ll just be one more reason for Chad to hate Jake’s guts – and one more way for Gwen to stir up Chad’s jealousy.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Gwen will bring out the green-eyed monster in Chad, so he may make some moves Abby disapproves of as a result.
While Gwen tries to cause a Thanksgiving war, the Hortons will gather for a good meal and good company. Unfortunately, the good company part may not work out so well! Lani Price-Grant (Sal Stowers) may not even want to attend with Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) since she’s furious over his betrayal.
Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) will apparently make an appearance at the gathering, but Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) certainly won’t make him feel welcome. Days of Our Lives spoilers say Julie will blast Jack for sleeping with Kate while Jennifer Deveraux (Cady McClain) was in a coma.
By the time Julie’s through with Jack, he may wish he’d stayed far away from Jenn and this get-together. As for Jennifer, she’ll get plenty of support from her children. Abigail and JJ Deveraux (Casey Moss) will be there for Jenn as she copes with her fractured marriage.
Thanksgiving is a time for gratitude and family unity, but Jennifer will mostly just feel sorrow and anger. The good news is there’s hope for Jack and Jennifer’s relationship. The bad news is Gwen has even more tricks in store for the whole Deveraux clan!
