Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that the NBC soap could set Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) up for more heartbreak. Days fans know Gabi was devastated when her beloved husband, Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash), died following a gunshot wound. However, Jake Lambert (Brandon Barash) appeared and suddenly offered Gabi hope.
Gabi’s been adamant that Jake is truly Stefan, so she’s hoping the DNA results will back her up. It looks like they will since both Jake and Gabi will end up shocked. Unfortunately, there’s no such thing as proof in Salem!
Just think about all the DNA tests that’ve been messed with over the years. It’s honestly rare that the correct results come back the first time, so that’s important to keep that in mind.
Gabi may be overjoyed by the news that this is Stefan, but her world could come crashing down later. Will Gabi eventually find out the results were tampered with or perhaps that Jake is Stefan’s identical twin? Can you imagine how crushed that would leave Gabi?
That’s especially true if Gabi slowly starts to win Jake over in the weeks or months ahead. We know Jake will sit by Gabi at Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal) and Ben Weston’s (Robert Scott Wilson) wedding, so Gabi will seemingly already be making progress by then.
Jake might ultimately come around on the idea of reuniting with his wife. He should assume that’s indeed what Gabi is to him.
Gabi may feel like she’s on the verge of getting her happily ever after, but what if none of it is real? Days of Our Lives spoilers say some big surprises are coming up, so a DNA shocker could be one of them. Based on some new DOOL hints, there are certainly some great reasons to believe the initial results won’t stick.
What will Gabi do if she realizes Stefan’s dead for good? Gabi’s bound to struggle with grief all over again. Since Camila Banus was reportedly off set for a while due to contract issues, some sort of an exit appears to be coming up. Gabi might need some time away to think about what losing Stefan permanently means for her life.
Of course, no one really has to be dead forever in Salem, so hope for the real Stefan’s return could remain. As for Gabi though, she may think it’s time to close the door on her dreams of Stefan coming back to her. If the DNA results aren’t what they seem, that’ll definitely bring some soul-searching and unbearable pain for Gabi.
