Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers has some great news to pass on about a popular DOOL star. Linsey Godfrey, who portrays Sarah Horton on the NBC soap, recently shared a post on Twitter that really resonated with her followers.
As you may know if you follow Linsey on social media, she is a regular poster and she lets her fans know what she’s up to and what she’s thinking about current topics.
Well, recently, Linsey posted a message saying that she has been alcohol-free for nine months. Specifically, Linsey said: “I quit drinking 9 months ago yesterday. I just had to say it out loud. It feels good.”
Linsey’s followers have been responding to her post in droves, with most congratulating her on her achievement and wishing her the best. And many followers shared how long it has been since they’ve had a drink as well.
One person replied: “Congratulations! I’m sure it could not have been easy as things this year unfolded. I applaud you on your journey to sobriety and stay sober. Happy days are ahead!” And someone else replied: “Hell yes!! That’s quite the accomplishment. Most definitely something to be proud of.”
Others thanked Linsey for sharing her news and were inspired by it. “Thank you, Linsey, for sharing,” one person replied. “I have a feeling that tweet just inspired a lot of struggling people.” Linsey replied to many of the people who commented on her post and seemed to appreciate the encouragement.
The next day, Linsey took to Twitter again to express her gratitude for all the support that poured in from her followers. “Man…I’m beyond humbled & grateful for the words of support & kindness about me saying I quit drinking this year,” Linsey wrote. “Thank you so much everyone.”
Linsey continued: “Weird year to be dry, that’s for sure, haha! But I’m so truly touched & beyond grateful for the support! Love you all!!”
