Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Sami Brady DiMera’s (Alison Sweeney) exit is rapidly approaching, but she’ll be back down the road! DOOL locked Sami in for another long-term stint, which will begin in late 2020 and run through most of 2021. However, there’s indeed a departure coming up that’ll lead to Sami spending a little time off canvas. Here’s how things are going to play out.
Allie Horton’s (Lindsay Arnold) return to Salem will leave Sami scrambling to keep custody of her grandson. Naturally, Allie will want her wishes from the letter to be carried out. Sami will feel like her grandbaby’s going to land in Nicole Brady’s (Arianne Zucker) hands, so she won’t be on board with that at all.
Eric Brady’s set to accept a big offer that takes him out of town, so that should leave Sami with even more concerns initially. Sami already had a big problem with handing over custody to Eric and Nicole as a couple. The fact that Eric’s going to be out of the picture will probably send Sami spinning out – at least a first.
However, Days of Our Lives spoilers say Eric will have a crucial conversation with Sami during the week of September 21-25. Perhaps Eric will finally get through to Sami and help her see that she can’t hijack this baby’s life.
Sami has to learn to compromise otherwise Allie’s going to hate her guts until the end of time – and that’s certainly not what Sami wants.
DOOL fans can expect Sami to make a pitch – one that Allie will presumably be receptive to. On September 25, Days of Our Lives spoilers say Sami will have one final faceoff with Nicole before leaving Salem. It looks like September 25 will be Sami’s last airdate until she returns later this year.
Sami may agree to head back home and give Allie some space. Perhaps Sami’s compromise will be pushing Allie to raise the baby with Nicole – especially now that Eric won’t be around. Sami may suggest that the custody situation should be temporary until Allie knows for sure what she wants.
That could give Allie some time to bond with the baby while Nicole supports her. Sami’s first choice has always been Allie raising this child herself, so she’d be pleased if Allie eventually decided that was the right call.
Of course, Sami won’t like Nicole’s involvement, so that’s probably why she’ll have this final faceoff with her enemy before she goes. Sami may want to warn Nicole not to get too attached and make sure she’s just serving as backup to new mom Allie.
Whatever the case, Sami’s exit airdate should be September 25, but look for her to return to Salem before 2020 winds down. We’ll pass along other Days news and updates as they come in.
