Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Thursday, August 20 Recap - Ciara & Ben Last Loving - Anniversary Murder Demand - Gabi Says NO to Ari’s Move

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Thursday, August 20, reveal that Jake Lambert (Brandon Barash) was watching TV in the DiMera living room, when Gabi DiMera (Camila Banus) rushed in, demanding that he turn down the volume.

As they argued, Gabi revealed that she spied Gwen (Emily O’Brien) and Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) kissing earlier. Jake didn’t believe it, but Gabi insisted that it was true. Jake rushed off.

Meanwhile, upstairs Gwen pulled Chad into her room as he walked by. Gwen wanted to talk some more about her plan to make Jake jealous, and as she and Chad talked, Gwen learned that Jake had closed the Collins deal for DiMera Enterprises.

Chad noted that Collins wanted to take Jake to Kansas City for ribs, and Chad asked Gwen to get Jake to cancel on that trip. Chad promised to help get Gabi out of Jake’s life, and Gwen leaned in for a kiss as Jake rushed in the room.

Jake demanded to know what was going on, and he ranted and raved about Gwen and Chad going behind his back. Gwen and Chad pretended like there was something between them, and Jake bellowed that Chad needed to keep his paws off of Gwen. “Stay out of my business then,” Chad said.

Jake wondered what that meant, and Chad said that he wanted to be the only one who dealt with Collins.

Jake thought that was hilarious and demanded that Chad get out of his room. Chad left, pleased with himself, and Jake turned to Gwen and insisted that she stay away from Chad.

Gwen said she’d try, but that it was so lonely lately since Jake had been running off with Gabi. Gwen said that she wanted to be his top priority, and Jake asked how he could prove that she was. ‘Cancel your trip to Kansas City,” Gwen said.

Back down in the living room, Gabi got a visit from Will Horton (Chandler Massey) and Sonny Kiriakis (Freddie Smith). “WilSon” dropped the bomb on Gabi that they are moving to Arizona so that Sonny could run a biotech startup there.

Gabi thought it sounded great, but then Will and Sonny said that they wanted to take Ari Horton (Sydney Brower) with them, and Gabi freaked out.

Gabi said that it was out of the question for Ari to leave Salem, and she had a million excuses for why it wouldn’t work. After much arguing, Sonny and Will suggested that they all sleep on it and discuss the situation tomorrow.

Gabi said that she was sorry that she got upset, but that nothing was going to change her mind about this. “You are never going to take away my daughter,” Gabi insisted. Later, Gabi shared with Chad that Will and Sonny were leaving Salem.

At the no-tell motel, Eve Donovan (Kassie DePaiva) lamented to Vincent (Michael Teh) that there was an APB out on her, and she griped at Vincent for not giving Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) the final dose of the drug yet.

Then Eve realized that tomorrow is the anniversary of Paige Larson’s (True O’Brien) death, and that it would be appropriate for Ben to kill Ciara Weston (Victoria Konefal) on the anniversary of Paige’s murder.

Vincent said that if they wanted Ciara’s murder to happen tomorrow, then he needed to give Ben the final dose of the drug today. Eve urged Vincent to find a way to give Ben the drug asap.

Over in town square, Ciara and Ben enjoyed dinner together, and while Ciara was on the phone with Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso), Ben played with the napkin on the table, gripping it as it if was a murder weapon.

Ben startled Ciara as she got off the phone with Hope by suddenly appearing beside her with the napkin in his hands, then Ciara noted that Ben seemed a little distracted. Ben said that he was just on edge because Eve was in town. Ben and Ciara decided to go back to the Salem Inn and spend the rest of their evening together.

At the police station, Hope poured over files, frustrated that her search for Eve had turned up nothing. Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) came along and urged her to go home and get some rest.

Hope and Rafe had some awkward moments together, each clearly wanting to tell the other how they really feel. But neither Hope nor Rafe said anything, and Hope left. Later Hope called Rafe and asked him to come to her house, as she was having a little emergency.

At the Salem Inn, Ben and Ciara talked about Ben going to see Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) tomorrow. Ben admitted that he had a weird feeling, like something bad was coming and he couldn’t stop it.

Ciara decided to take Ben’s mind off of his troubles, and they made love. Afterwards, Ben and Ciara talked about how happy they were, and Ben said he was lucky to have all of this after the terrible things he did in the past.

Ciara decided that she wanted a hot fudge sundae, so Ben called room service while Ciara showered. While Ciara was in the shower, room service arrived, delivered by Vincent.

Vincent asked Ben to let him in, and Ben did. Vincent quietly injected Ben with the drug, then left, all while Ben seemed to be in a trance. Later, Ciara emerged from the bathroom, and she happily started eating the sundae, while Ben seemed a bit distracted.

At Hope’s house, Rafe arrived, and Hope explained that the washing machine was not working. After some friendly banter about the last time the washing machine went on the fritz, Rafe went to work on the machine.

Soon, he yelled from the other room and came out all wet. Hope asked him to remove his shirt, which Rafe did. This produced some uncomfortable and charged moments between Hope and Rafe, and eventually Rafe took off.

At the Kiriakis mansion, Will and Sonny arrived and talked about how their talk with Gabi went. Will and Sonny agreed that it wasn’t easy, but it could have gone worse, and while they didn’t want to uproot Ari’s life, they couldn’t imagine moving to Arizona without their daughter.

Finally, back at the motel, Vincent returned and told Eve that he delivered Ben a hot fudge sundae and the final dose of the drug. Eve was thrilled, as Vincent said that by tomorrow morning Ben would be ready to murder Ciara. “Finally, there will be justice for my little girl,” Eve said.
