Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers for Tuesday, May 26, tease that John Black (Drake Hogestyn) and Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) will remain oblivious to the danger lurking just below them. Orpheus (George DelHoyo) planted a bomb underneath the sofa, so he’s obviously hoping to blow them both to smithereens.
Marlena and John will continue to go about their business on Tuesday, which means welcoming Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) and Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) in for a visit. Days spoilers say these couples will exchange good news.
Nicole and Eric will be relieved to know John’s safe after they get updates on his harrowing ordeal with Orpheus. Of course, Eric and Nicole will also want to reveal their engagement. Their impending marriage will thrill Marlena and John, but that bomb will keep ticking away on the floor.
Meanwhile, let’s get back to Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso) and Zoey Burge’s (Alyshia Ochse) struggle over a gun. That gun just went off, so we’ll see where the bullet landed on Tuesday. It turns out Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) was shot, but his sturdy badge saved him from taking the bullet himself.
Once Hope makes sure Rafe’s OK, she’ll race after Zoey and hold her at gunpoint. Zoey will put one hand up in surrender as she makes a phone call. After they all realize Orpheus has been apprehended, things should settle down a bit. Zoey’s son was kidnapped by Orpheus, so finding him safe and sound will be her priority.
We should note that despite Zoey’s criminal behavior, she’ll still be going up against Rafe in a custody battle over David Ridgeway (Kyler Ends) next week. Days characters have a way of sidestepping legal ramifications! For now, Rafe will enjoy a sweet reunion with David and offer Hope his gratitude.
Later, Hope will head over to John and Marlena’s townhouse. Something will finally tip them off to trouble, so Hope and John will discover the bomb under the couch. It looks like they’ll manage to defuse that bomb and avert disaster, so Orpheus’ last trick will be avoided in the nick of time.
At the police station, Days of Our Lives spoilers say Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) will face a shocker. Once they learn the gun’s missing from the evidence bag, they’ll determine that Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) must’ve taken it.
Justin just drew his stolen weapon and intends to shoot Orpheus for killing Adrienne Kiriakis (Judi Evans), but Steve and Kayla will burst in before he can pull the trigger.
DOOL spoilers say Kayla and Steve will try to talk Justin out of doing something he’ll regret. Steve will even promise to shoot Orpheus himself in a desperate attempt to get the gun away.
Justin will thankfully give up the gun, but Steve will knock Orpheus out instead of shooting him. Kayla will be grateful for Steve’s help, but Justin will initially be livid with Steve for breaking his promise. It’s clear that Justin’s letting out a lot of pent-up rage, so he’ll need a little time to calm down.
Other Days of Our Lives spoilers say Will Horton (Chandler Massey) and Sonny Kiriakis (Freddie Smith) will have a romantic evening. They’ll revisit the idea of adding to their family this week, so Tuesday seems like a good opportunity to talk about that.
Will and Sonny will ultimately decide they want another baby, so they’ll take steps to achieve that soon.
