Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that there are still some mysteries swirling around Gwen (Emily O’Brien). So far, Days hasn’t revealed anything about who Gwen really is. Gwen’s just a British chick who gets crazy jealous, so it’s time for DOOL to dive deeper and tell us her story.
What about Gwen’s family? How did Gwen end up in Philly, where she started dating Jake Lambert (Brandon Barash)? Why did Gwen head for Salem after she stole Jake’s favorite things and torched his clothes? There are plenty of questions to mull over, but maybe a new character on canvas could lead to answers.
Most new Days of Our Lives characters get a connection or two eventually. Now that Vincent (Michael Teh) has entered the picture, we have to wonder if he might be linked to Gwen. Could Vincent be Gwen’s brother? Let’s consider the evidence. For starters, there’s the obvious: their similar accents.
British characters aren’t all that common on soaps, so it’s worth considering that Gwen and Vincent might be connected. Although Michael Teh is actually an Australian actor, he’s definitely doing an accent that sounds more like Gwen’s. Both Vincent and Gwen seem to be from England originally, so there could be more to the story.
Plus, Gwen still doesn’t have a last name – and Vincent hasn’t been given a last name either. There could be some big moment coming up where it’s revealed that they have the same one! There’s also the fact that Vincent and Gwen look a bit similar. Dark hair… Dark eyes… It’d be easy to buy them as siblings.
Clearly, Gwen and Vincent are both capable of anything. Vincent is Dr. Wilhelm Rolf’s (William Utay) protégé and has been helping Eve Donovan (Kassie DePaiva) torture Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson).
Gwen hasn’t done anything that bad – at least as far as fans know – but she did fake a mental breakdown so she could hide out at Bayview. You don’t do something like that because you’re normal!
It’s also possible Vincent is an ex of Gwen’s, but it makes more sense to make him her brother. Vincent doesn’t seem like Gwen’s type since she likes gruff and manly Jake. It seems like Vincent would be too polished with his fancy suits and good posture.
Instead, Vincent might be the weird brother Gwen hasn’t talked to in forever – or perhaps even the one she’s secretly in cahoots with!
After all, it was strange that Gwen picked Salem as her hiding spot. Gwen checked in Bayview right around the time Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) was drugged.
We’ve also got Vincent’s link to Dr. Rolf – and now Gwen’s growing closer to Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn). It just seems like Days might fit all these puzzle pieces together somehow.
Whether Gwen drugged Abigail, Vincent drugged Abigail or one of them drugged Chad so he’d do it instead, there’s the potential for a sibling partnership here. Do you think Vincent is Gwen’s brother? Could they secretly be scheming together? As other DOOL news comes in, we’ll offer updates.
