General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Maxie Jones’ (Kristen Storms) love life is a disaster and she doesn’t even know it! Maxie’s oblivious to Peter August’s (Wes Ramsey) continued deception, so total heartbreak is coming up. Maxie is pregnant with Peter’s child, so that’s only going to add to her pain.
Since General Hospital writers are getting ready to crumble Maxie’s world, it’s only fair to mull over how they could build her life up again. One easy way to do that would be bringing Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) back from the dead.
Anything is possible in soap land, so here are three reasons GH should reunite Maxie and Nathan.
1) Sizzling Naxie chemistry can’t be beat
When it comes to popular soap couples, you never really know when lightning will strike. Ryan Paevey and Kirsten Storms just had that special something in their scenes together. Nathan and Maxie’s chemistry was sizzling, so it makes this whole love story with Peter seem dull and spark-free.
The fact that Peter’s deceiving Maxie only adds to the lack of sizzle going on. GH could always use more hot couples, so it’d be great if they could put Paevey back in the mix and reunite Nathan with Maxie. It would undoubtedly make plenty of “Naxie” fans ecstatic!
2) Maxie Jones deserves happiness after heartache
Maxie’s sure to be at one of the lowest points of her life after her relationship with Peter implodes. This isn’t the first time Peter’s broken Maxie’s trust, but it’ll hurt even more this time around.
Maxie thought she’d never get over Nathan’s death, but she found a way forward with Peter. Once Peter’s ruthlessness is exposed, it should plunge Maxie back into grief.
Maxie may wind up feeling like what she had with Nathan was a once-in-a-lifetime kind of love. Nathan was someone Maxie could truly trust, but she may feel like she’s never going to have that again.
Once Maxie sinks to her lowest, that’d be the perfect time to offer light at the end of the tunnel. Maxie and Nathan’s reunion could give Maxie the true bliss she hasn’t had since he died.
3) Nathan West’s other loved ones need him, too
Of course, Nathan and Maxie’s reunion would mean Nathan would be back on canvas for other important reunions as well. Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) will be home starting the week of October 5-9, so it’d be nice to see Nathan and Dante become buddies again.
Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) is on the verge of her own devastation since her biological daughter, Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier), is supposedly dead.
There’s no one who could calm Nina quite like Nathan did – and having Nathan come back alive would certainly ease Nina’s agony. By bringing Nathan back for a Maxie reunion, it’d let Nathan fill many voids through his other reunions, too.
