General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) and Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) will try to live with the consequences of their decision. GH fans know Sasha and Chase did something drastic in hopes of convincing Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) to marry. A fake affair was staged, so the “Millow” wedding moved forward.
Although the outcome was what Chase and Sasha wanted, neither one of them could anticipate just how hard all of this would be. Sasha’s a mess and may wind up addicted to drugs. Chase is managing to carry on, but he’s distracted at work and moping around like a sad puppy. This ordeal has been brutal!
Of course, there’s been an awful lot of talk about the loves Chase and Sasha lost, but what about their destroyed friendships? General Hospital set Michael, Sasha, Chase and Willow up as a nice little quad of pals.
Sasha was there for Willow during her pregnancy scare, so that brough them closer. If Sasha had broken up with Michael under any other circumstances, she would be leaning on Willow right now.
However, it’s Chase and Michael’s friendship that we want to focus on. Bromances are always fun on a soap – and this was a good one. Michael and Chase teamed up against Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) before she was sent to prison, which really sealed the deal on them being buds.
GH could’ve done even more to develop them as friends, but it was still nice that Chase and Michael each had a pal to turn to. Now Michael and Chase’s bond has been torn apart by lies.
Chase still has his actual brother, Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton), to confide in. Michael also has Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and his family, but it’s still a shame that Michael has to think Chase is a cheating loser.
When it comes to betrayals, it doesn’t get much worse than cheating with your buddy’s girl! Michael believes Chase betrayed him in the worst way possible. In reality, Chase actually made a huge sacrifice to help both Michael and Willow.
How will Michael feel when the truth comes out? Can Michael and Chase’s friendship be saved?
It seems likely Chase and Michael will get their bromance back on track down the road, but Sasha’s drug problem could spell trouble. If Sasha overdoses because of this faux affair and the pain it’s caused, that could lead to the blame game.
It may take some time for Michael to forgive Chase for his deception, but we have faith he’ll get there eventually.
