General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will endure another grilling session. GH fans know Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) approached Carly and insisted she’d have to answer more questions. Now that Nelle Benson Jerome’s (Chloe Lanier) autopsy is done, Jordan’s hoping to tie up the loose ends.
Jordan mentioned that since Nelle’s body was discovered on the Pennsylvania side of the river, the detective who has jurisdiction there has questions, too. Of course, Carly feels like she’s answered more than enough questions already.
Carly gave a statement to Valerie Spencer (Paulina Lule) and another one to Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard), so she’s wary of another interrogation. General Hospital viewers will recall that Carly got tripped up with Chase.
Carly initially told Valerie that Nelle pushed her, but she changed her story the next time around and claimed she simply fell.
Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) reassured Carly that it was normal to change little details. In fact, Jason thought it would look more suspicious if Carly told the story exactly the same.
Even so, there’s a chance Carly’s discrepancy could come back to haunt her. That’s especially true if more discrepancies are on the way – and they seem inevitable since Carly’s lying about how Nelle’s death went down.
Like it or not, Carly will once again find herself on the hot seat during the week of October 19-23. General Hospital spoilers say Carly will be terrified as she’s summoned to the PCPD. The Pennsylvania detective may take a little trip over to Port Charles to force Carly’s next round of grilling.
Jason, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) will probably remind Carly to just stick with vague answers. As long as Carly doesn’t raise major suspicions, she’ll be in the clear. There’s no proof that Carly was involved in Nelle’s demise at all.
Unfortunately, things are never that simple on a soap! Even with Diane Miller’s (Carolyn Henessy) assistance, Carly may get rattled and offer other differences in her version of events. The deception could start piling up and lead to Carly’s story falling apart.
Carly may inadvertently point the finger at herself by spilling more than she should. The truth is Carly actually tried to help Nelle on the cliff’s edge, but it’s not going to look that way due to all Carly’s lies. Even if Carly comes clean down the road, who’s going to believe her?
As other GH news rolls in, we’ll provide updates. General Hospital spoilers say the pressure will be on for Carly, so her dilemma should get worse before it gets better.
