General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) and Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) will have several reasons to grow closer once new GH episodes resume. The show will pick up where they left off during the week of August 3-7, so let’s consider what’s ahead for Brook Lynn and Chase. They just might find a surprising spark as the drama explodes in Port Charles.
For starters, Chase and Brook Lynn have been given that classic hate-turns-to-love setup. Brook Lynn has managed to get herself arrested by Chase on more than one occasion, but things are about to change.
Mac Scorpio (John J. York) warned Chase to stop taking Brook Lynn into custody and find a way to make peace. It’s not a good idea for Chase to look like he’s abusing his power.
With that in mind, there’s bound to be a run-in coming up where Chase and Brook Lynn call a truce. It might even be a situation where Brook Lynn deserves to be arrested yet again and Chase lets her off the hook. Regardless, GH seemingly intends to move Chase and Brook Lynn into more tolerant territory.
Friendship may be next, especially once Brook Lynn inevitably finds out that Chase’s betrayal was just a scheme. Brook Lynn has called Chase every horrible name in the book, including “man slut.” She’s bound to feel terrible when she realizes Chase was just a good guy trying to make a sacrifice.
Chase put aside his own happiness so that Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen), Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos (Erik and Theo Olson) could be happy instead. That’s sure to touch Brook Lynn’s heart down the road.
There’s also the matter of Sasha Gilmore’s (Sofia Mattsson) drug addiction, which seems to be coming up on new GH episodes. That could bring some guilt on Chase’s part and make him feel like he should’ve seen the warning signs. If Sasha overdoses, Chase may blame himself and need someone to lean on. Brook Lynn might wind up being that someone!
Of course, Brook Lynn will have her own problems since her big mouth gave Nelle Benson Jerome (Chloe Lanier) blackmail material. Brook Lynn’s the reason Julian Jerome (William deVry) is in such a jam. Plus, the Quartermaine clan is about to be in total crisis mode due to Valentin Cassadine’s (James Patrick Stuart) takeover plot.
Brook Lynn may face blame for selling her shares, and it’ll be hard to watch her family dealing with such turmoil. It’d be easy for Brook Lynn and Chase to comfort each other as all their problems pile up. General Hospital could use another hot romance, so it’d be worth giving Chase and Brook Lynn a shot!
